Speed Racer Fast Catch Boomerangs - Orange!

Tons of fun! Very safe and great buy for the money. Very durable and light weight.

It’s good, but more practice needed to make sure it’s returning.

Full disclosure, I'm about 15 hours into throwing boomerangs. This boomerang is probably better as a second boomerang once you have gotten the hang of an easier one (see my review of the Manu Pro, also from Colorado Boomerangs, which I recommend). Fast Throw is an actual boomerang sporting event and this type of boomerang is made for that sport. It does come back for experienced users consistently but requires a hard throw with ample spin applied. The construction may seem cheap to some buyers but it is robust and made for that particular event. I do wonder if a heavier construction would help apply a better throw and spin. My tips are to throw it at a slightly upwards trajectory (maybe 25% vs. the horizon), almost completely vertically-oriented, and make sure it has enough spin on release, it is very important. Also keep the wind on your left cheek, and make sure you have the proper side facing you. Wear both eye protection and gloves, it is easy to lose it in the sun and boomerangs in general can cut up your hands if they hit with enough speed. Have patience, and watch some instructional videos online, as well as following the good directions Colorado Boomerangs sends with these. If you find it isn't reaching you on the throw, throw it slightly higher and make sure there is enough spin, which is very important. If it keeps going back too far behind or in front of you (making a "4" instead of a circle), check the wind direction and throw more to your right. If it is too windy, put the boomerang away and fly a kite instead, because anything over 9 mph or so will blow it all over the place. Also, you can look at it sideways and see if you need to apply less or more warp, though frankly that is a more advanced tip and you should really just focus initially on getting it to make a complete circuit and your release. I tried the Blue Speed Racer Fast Catch Boomerang as a beginner and found it easy to use right out of the box. The included instructions and access to helpful videos made learning how to throw much simpler. The boomerang is lightweight and designed specifically for right-handed throwers, which worked well for me. I appreciated the long helicopter hover, which gave me time to track and catch it. It’s well-suited for teens and adults looking for a fun outdoor activity.

Trying to go a long distance and return this is not the boomerang for you. This one will return to you, but if there's any more than a breeze it doesn't like to return directly to you. It also does not go out very far and probably goes out about 75 feet and returns. I think the problem with it is just too light and small. It's probably perfect for kids though but for an adult I think it's too lightweight.

Easy to learn, fun for family.

This boomerang works great! My 12 year old son loves it! After a few throws he was getting it to return right back to him. It's difficult to use in any wind as it's pretty light, but it's tons of fun to play with.

I purchased this item for my son as a Christmas gift, and he was very excited about it as it was something he specifically requested. Upon opening, we discovered that the boomerang was clearly used and appeared to be damaged. I am extremely dissatisfied with this, as I have never before received a used item from before. This experience has been quite upsetting, especially since the item was advertised as new.

We tried other ones from different brands and even the traditional one (V-shaped) from this brand and they did not return easily. This one does and my son loves it. He can't wait to go play with it.

It’s a really good ‘rang. Pretty durable but don’t throw on concrete. If it doesn’t come back to you then you don’t know how to throw a boomerang.

The Speed Racer Boomerang is a blast! It flies smoothly, does a nice loop, and actually comes back when thrown correctly. Lightweight but sturdy enough for regular use. Great for kids and adults looking to practice their throws.
