Oster® Classic Series 8-Speed Blender with 6-Cup Glass Jar, Gray

Oster has been around for many years. This blender does what I need it to do. My kid makes fruit smoothies with it. I make sauces, salsas, and of course the super slushie margarita. Makes milkshakes, and has no problems with vegetables. Very easy clean up, replacement cutter and seals are available. Comes with a real glass pitcher. Not some plastic piece that's going to discolor or work. 8 speeds is plenty and the best part it is affordable and will probably last for my lifetime!

Dear Oster Customer Service, I recently purchased an Oster DuraLast Classic blender, and unfortunately, I have encountered what appears to be a serious problem with the container's fit on the base. The new container wobbles noticeably when placed on the base. When I operated the blender at medium and then high speed, the container actually jumped off the base. Fortunately, nothing broke and no one was hurt, but it resulted in quite a cleanup—and, more importantly, this seems like a significant safety concern. To determine whether the problem was with the blender base or the new container, I did a simple comparison. I still have an Osterizer blender that is approximately 40 years old. Its original container fits securely on the new DuraLast Classic base, without wobbling or shaking. In contrast, the new DuraLast container wobbles on both the new blender and my old Osterizer. This strongly suggests that the problem is with the new container or its fit, rather than with the blender base. I purchased the DuraLast Classic because I like the concept of the traditional Oster design and expected the durability and quality that I have associated with Oster for decades. My 40-year-old Osterizer is evidence of the quality Oster used to produce. Unfortunately, this new product has been disappointing, and in its current condition I do not consider it safe to use. Please let me know how Oster intends to resolve this. Is this a defective container that can be replaced, or is this amount of movement typical of the current DuraLast Classic design? If it is considered normal, I would prefer to return the blender for a refund. I would appreciate a prompt response, particularly given the potential safety issue.

The blender seems fine so far, but Amazon sent a product with a crushed/damaged box, packed in another fine outer box. So since the outer mailer Box was fine that means they sent me a product box that was already crushed when they packed it!

This Oster Classic Series 8‑Speed Blender works very well and has more than enough speed options for everyday blending. The 6‑cup glass jar feels sturdy, and the motor has plenty of power for smoothies, sauces, and general kitchen use. My only issue is with cleaning: the screw‑off bottom and blade assembly can be difficult to remove, and if you don’t take it apart, food can build up between the jar and bottom assembly. Once cleaned properly, it performs great, but the design makes thorough cleaning a bit challenging. Overall, it’s a strong, reliable blender with good performance for the price.

We have been very pleased with this blender. We have made salsa, smoothies, and other mixes with no issues. Love the glass and not having to worry about plastic. Very easy to take a part to clean or put in dishwasher

Its perfect but uses 120 Volts American standard and needs a transformer if you want to use in UAE

The ice crush is very good and the mixing of my smoothies . Really like it. Excellent value

This is a dangerous product in my opinion. 1. Operational noise levels are around 105dB 2. No safely mechanisms - the blender runs without any safety triggers 3. A strong electrical smell pervades the kitchen for some time after use. Further, the speed difference between Low, Med and High is negligible. Very disappointed in this product.
