Frost King DS2 Door or Window Draft Stop Cloth Seal, 3-Feet, Beige

Absolutely worth it, summer or winter. I have a large gap under my glass storm door but I like to leave the main door open for the light. My old door seal somehow lost all of its stuffing, maybe it was my cats?

When we bought a brand new house nearly 20 years ago, I said, "I love the light! This place is all windows!" And of course, now this place is all drafts! People in the Pacific NW don't run out and buy serious storm windows like the midwest and New England. Our winters are relatively mild; just a good, hard cold rain and in the 40's. And the furnace isn't working. Our first winter I noticed that the house heats unevenly. When the heat is on and the upstairs is just right, the living room downstairs is so cold nobody wants to go there. I put out fleece throws for people to cuddle up in if they want to visit and watch TV, and I ordered my first draft blocker. It was the type that is made up of some sort of ground mineral inside cloth: shell, gravel, who knows what, but heavy stuff. Lots of shipping costs, and it was too short to do much good, and too expensive to order very many. Also, it was too fat for our windowsills. The next year I ordered a whole bunch of very plain, serviceable white draft blockers. They are in the same shape as the one shown here, but that bright white color got to where it looked fly spotted after a few winters, and once someone left a window ajar, and boy can you see the water stains well. In other words, they were only for windows that would not actually have their curtains opened nor the sills be seen, not only by visitors, but also by ourselves. We have SOME standards! We took them down in summer so we could throw open all the windows, and put them back in place in the winter. This year I realized that all the draft blockers were in use, and our living room and bedroom were cold! We get the eastern winds head-on. The ugly whites were on parts of the windowsill that were past view, but I wanted to be able to open the curtains and not freeze my butt off. I ordered these. These are the right thickness to be on our windowsills without falling off or needing to be fastened into place somehow; they aren't long enough for a whole window sill though, unless you are in the bathroom, in which case they're too long. This, and the experience I can't report on yet, having just bought them, is all that keeps that 5th star away. The material they're stuffed with is evenly fitted inside the tube, so no lumping, no snake-that-just-ate-a-varmint appearance. The smooth beige pseudo-fur is much better looking than those stark white things I was hiding, and I can open my curtains now without freezing my butt off. Now all we have to do is get the furnace to work! If these draft dodgers are still good to go after I have had them a year or two, I will come back and add the fifth star.

Easily fit into a gap in a window of mine. We”ll see how it holds up over time, but so far it seems like a good deal.

Bought this for my storm door where we have a dog door. Looks fine. If filled with so e sort of poly fill and is fleece covered. Unfortunately, it doesnt have quite enough weight in it to stay in place. It kind of lifts up instead of staying flush with the floor/threshold. I might find something to weight it down so that it will maintain a snug fit.

For years our shades hit the window sills during a windy night driving us crazy. This is great purchase for a quite night

We use this draft stopper in a window and around our air conditioner, and it works very well. It fits easily and stays in place once installed. It does a good job keeping cold outside air from coming into the room, especially during colder weather. The material feels sturdy and does not tear easily. It arrived in a secure package and was well protected during shipping. Overall, it’s simple, effective, and does exactly what it’s meant to do.

Does a great job at blocking the draft from under a door in a situation where you don't want to permanently adhere something to the door. I like to use this in the bedroom and take it away when we don't need it. Good quality.

Ordered two...for front and back doors...They are super because I love to open my doors for light and just show the storm/screen doors...these work well against the storm doors to keep draft out and cats can sit comfortably and gaze out the glass without freexing...lol....Happy with purchase!

It's a draft stopper, it's beige...what can I say? It's not cute or attractive but it does it's job. Price was reasonable. If it jumps up & sings carols I'll let you know:)

Needed to stop draft at Patio door. Works as we wanted and the price was right. We were not able to purchase this item anywhere else.
