Mysore Yoga Back Bender

Great tool for opening the chest. The more extreme curve is too much for my lower back. Looks nice. Much more narrow than other similar products I looked at, I would like it better if it was even more narrow to focus even more on spine, but I am only 5'2" so this is probably not an issue for normal size people.

This is an incredible tool for yogis who are interesting in opening up their back bend or spine extension. We keep this in our yoga studio and the students love to use this either before their backbend practice or after their savasana to help open the chest and release the spine. The different gradient of curve on both sides allows one to target going deeper in either the lumber or thoracic spine. Plus the holes and legs on the side allow for the student to bring the arms above the head and select which depth is reasonable to grab and open the shoulders into external rotation hence this tool is absolutely a game changer for developing Kapotasana or deep back bends of similar shape. We also keep one at our home because it is the perfect tool to use when there are few extra moments to relax and open the chest. We highly recommend this product to everyone!

I was so very much excited when my Mysore Yoga Back Bender Arrived. What I noticed first was that it is smaller than I'd anticipated. This caused no issues, however, as it enables the back bender to take up little space in my yoga studio. The second thing I noticed was how well made the back bender is. It is highly functional but also looks great in my studio. It's a product I'm proud to display and let my students use.I've been using the back bender for about two weeks and, though I haven't been using it daily, I have seen superb results. I love what it's doing not only for my yoga practice (I'm also a yoga teacher) but for my spine. I've noticed much more spinal flexibility, less low back tension, increased depth to my back bends, even increased shoulder ranger of motion from allowing my arms to drop back overhead. Overall I am incredibly pleased with the Mysore Yoga Back Bender. I shall update the review as I progress through my journey with this product.

I have been using my Back Bender for almost a year now. I am a yoga teacher and a bodyworker. I have found this prop to be beautiful, exquisitely designed and enormously helpful to so many clients and students. I have used it therapeutically to correct kyphotic postures in my clients and to open injured and frozen shoulders. It has served many students well as they explore spinal expansion.The Back Bender is just the right size with the versatility to accommodate a variety of spinal sizes and shapes.
