I use this for my dog who gets skin infections and the shampoo works great and keeps me from the vet! Smell is not overwhelming, it is also moisturizing too.

My beautiful golden is a wonderful companion and really is the perfect dog...well almost. He can be incredibly stubborn and is a tad OCD like myself. He has declared war on a skunk that passes thru our yard and in the past 2 weeks has been sprayed 5, yes 5 times, the last time he got it right in the face as the skunk became cornered trying to exit a hole under the fence I had fixed. Mr B is a really smart guy mind you, but as I said stubborn. The first night he got sprayed I was trying to remember all the hacks to get rid of the smell when I thought of this shampoo. It has a really fresh citrus fragrance that cuts through the river smell he gets from swimming and chasing fish all day. Trust me that is a stench in itself. Well it worked perfectly on the skunk smell every time, even the full face spray!! I did have to lather him up a couple of times and for his face several times but it cut the odor and it always leaves his coat soft and shiny. As for helping with hot spots and itching this shampoo works like a miracle. Like most goldens my boy is prone to skin problems and has suffered through weeks of treatments and meds through the years. I saw this shampoo and gave it a try and am so glad I did. When he gets a hot spot they are usually big and ozzy so when I bathe him I start by putting the shampoo on the spot itself, then continue as usual. In a couple of days it is gone! I no longer have to cut chunks of his coat out so air can get to the hot spot. This works for him and he is visibly more comfortable after the bath, no itching and licking. He does get bathed often because of his love of the yucky water but his skin and coat are in great condition,. I love this stuff!

This shampoo helped reduce my dog’s itching and calmed down hot spots after a few uses. It smells nice and lathers well, but keeping it on for 10 minutes is tricky with a restless dog. It’s gentle on sensitive skin, but not a complete solution—still need other treatments. Overall, a solid product worth trying.

Works great on my pomeranian. He was clean fluffy and was licking and scratching less. Smells nice and my dog seemed to feel refreshed.

My GSP suffers from itching from environment allergies, having had her on Apoquel in the past, I'm trying not to have to put her on it again, so I tried the "Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Hot Spot & Itch Relief Medicated Shampoo for Dogs." I shampooed her according to the directions, and once she was dry, her itching seemed to stop! She had hot spots on her tummy, and those have disappeared as well! She was licking her paws raw at times, and that seems to have also stopped! Today is only the 3rd day since her shampoo, so I'm waiting to see how long it lasts, but I am VERY happy to see her relief! I so far, would highly recommend this product for an itchy dog.

Works well. Third time ordering but received opened, no cap and not seal wrapped as the previous times. Which will discourage me from purchasing again. The smell isn’t bad medicated smell, not thick, helps soothe those red spots and clears them up. Like the product but skeptical about receiving unsealed, anyone can tamper with.

excellent dog shampoo and price!!! my dog has allergies hot spots and is always itching. i used it today..4/15/26. i recommend it highly...what a difference. the dog is relaxed not scratching at all .i will be using this for my other dog as well...a lifesaver!!!!! thank you for this amazing product

The seller sent me conditioner and I bought shampoo, the product is great, the error was in the delivery.

Do not use. I made the mistake of not reading the negative reviews which had the same reaction. My cat’s whole head went red & fur all fallen out the next day and didn’t even help with the scratching because she was still scratching after it. I only washed her head with this shampoo and I’m thankful I didn’t do the rest of her. DO NOT BUY.
