This battery meter allowed me to convert my electric lawn mower to lithium batteries and keep an accurate view of the battery level. The installation is incredibly simple. The instructions are adequate if you have some familiarity with electronics and wiring. The included wiring harness is extra long, high quality, and is even UL listed. The only thing NOT included in the kit is a short segment of thin wire to provide positive voltage to the meter.

Works as it should. You have to charge your battery then manually reset the value to 100%. It does seem to read accurately. I have it on a Dakota lithium 12v 100ah battery on an Old town AP120. I mounted to the battery box. Shunt was easy to install. Good product.

I got exactly what was pictured, and setup and installation was easy. The instructions weren't great, but it wasn't hard to figure out. I set my capacity (170 Ah), then fully charged the battery and reset the unit to 100%. Then the next day I used it until it was nearly dead (4%) and recharged it by plugging in. When it was fully charged it read 169.9 Ah that's 99.94% accuracy, which is good enough for me! I reset it to 100% again, and now it has always said 170.0 Ah when fully charged. The instructions say that it can read and monitor any current usage that's larger than what it takes to power its own backlight, so if you had absolutely no other usage on your battery, it sounds like the backlight will VERY slowly drain it without registering any usage. Same with other very tiny battery drains. That never applies to me because my inverter is always on and the 0.5 amps it takes while not powering anything is enough to make the meter notice the drain. So far it's been working great, and it's really nice to know my state of charge at any time.

Update: the meter died in less than 30 days from the purchase and zero response from the seller. Had to drop this to one star. Keeping the rest of the review for context, but do not recommend buying. ——— This single meter replaced two meters I had been using which required me to do quite a bit of math to figure out where our power reserves were sitting and how much battery we had left. We had been using two inexpensive power meter which measured both current and voltage and kept track of how many amps had been used, but we had to remember to reset the counter any time we charged up the battery and you never really knew where things were at. It was all guessing and usually we just looked at the voltage and made some guesses and hoped we were right. A friend of mine uses this meter in his van conversion and suggested it to us for our camper. I was able to re-use the wiring I had already put in place to tie the meter into the electrical system. What do I really like about this meter? - it's bidirectional which means is watches both usage and charging and keeps track of both, so if the battery only partially charges up before we start using it, it's keeping track. Super helpful and something my old arrangement didn't do. - it has a visual usage indicator, so we can just glance at the meter and see "oh, we're at 50% already, we need to cut back" or "oh we've only used 10%, we're good all night" - it lets you see voltage, current, and amp hours - it has a visual indicator to show if you are net discharging or net charging the battery at any given time A few things I don't like - can't be helped, but it's circular and the others were rectangles, so I had to cut into the bulkhead to get them to fit, just being honest it was something that I wish I hadn't had to do. - the backlight stays on when there's activity and you have to manually turn it off (thank goodness you can, by holding the outer left and right buttons down together for 3s). So if it's bedtime and you're using the fans while you sleep, the light would stay on all night unless you extinguished it. It would be better if the light simply went off after 10s of no button presses, or if there was simply a button that let you turn on the backlight or not, but again, thankfully you can manually turn it off.

If you just need to know how much is left in your battery this is it! It takes a little playing around to get it all set up but its not too bad, hey only has 3 buttons :) I only use the % or sometimes the Amps to see how much power is going out at a certain time. It is the best device in that price range with the simplicity I needed, hey my wife wants to be able to read it too! Works great with any battery but best for LIFEPO4 or other lithium chemistries

This product isn't inherently bad. It's built well, functions as advertised, and gets the job done. However, a few frustrating design choices and an instruction manual that reads like hieroglyphics hold it back from greatness. Let's start with the positives. The quality of the materials is solid, and everything feels sturdy and well-made. In terms of functionality, it performs admirably, achieving its intended purpose without any hiccups. So, there's no question that it works – it just works with some unnecessary hurdles. My main gripe lies with the design. Certain aspects, like the ridiculously small hole for the wire, feel poorly thought out and hinder the installation process. These seemingly minor inconveniences add up and create unnecessary frustration. And then there's the instruction manual. Oh, the instruction manual. It's like the authors took a complex engineering textbook and ran it through a confusing word jumble generator. I'm no stranger to assembly manuals, but this one took the cake for sheer incomprehensibility. Thankfully, my experience with similar products saved the day, but that shouldn't be necessary. Clear, concise instructions are essential for a smooth user experience, and this product falls woefully short in that department. Overall, this product sits in a curious middle ground. It's not terrible, but the design flaws and frustrating instructions drag it down from being truly good. While it does what it's supposed to do, the user experience could be significantly improved with some attention to detail in these crucial areas. For that reason, I award it a 3 out of 5 stars. It's decent, but could be so much better with a little polish. I hope this review helps you make an informed decision about this product. Remember, while it functions well, be prepared for some bumps along the way!

This is working fine on my 24v lithium system. I am using it to monitor two 12v 110 amp lithium batteries in series (24v)i have been using it tor a few months now with no problems

Easy to read screen. Small but very clear. Easy installation. Monitors all phases of battery use and state of charge. Turn on a lite and the monitor tells you what energy is being consumed. Love it.
