Does this need electric or can it operate on a battery?

The item description says 1 9V battery is required but it does not run on battery at all. How will it hang on a wall without battery power? AC power cord will need to hang down from picture.

I purchased this photo frame and it appears it is just a reader of my pictures from a memory stick. Is there a way to download the pics to the frame?

There is no storage on this photo frame except for the SD / SDHC slot or USB connectivity. They do have other models with built-in flash memory but of course the cost goes up for them. SD cards are fairly inexpensive and easy to update periodically so I wasn't looking for built-in memory and at the price listed I wasn't expecting anything more. Personally bought this for my mother and loaded a bunch of pictures my father made back in the 50's, 60's, and 70's I had digitized and she has enjoyed seeing them again.
