Strong flame, perfect for searing steak
It's very good, very strong flame, stronger than any of the small torches. It can be used for cooking and doesn't cause any flavor on the food. Easy to use. Highly recommended.If you need a precise flame don't buy this! This flame is too strong for that and a bit wide. Not for detail work. You will need a small torch for that.

I bought this to sear Sous Vide beef. The torch works, and puts out a decent amount of heat, however the flow adjustment isn't precise. If you turn it up too much, then it blows the flame out. However it is good value for money and does the job. If you want more precision, then you'll need to spend more.

Great Gas Torch
Super simple to fit and use. Not a precise flame for welding but is perfect for starting BBQs and using to sear meats. Controllable flame with selector valve and fits easily on canister Butane cans.

Not recommended for lighting BBQ
Bought this with the intent to use for lighting wire wood and charcoal on my BBQ. First off, it’s hard to light as there’s no built-in igniter. Second, the gas comes out so fast that trying to light this with a match or lighter left me with crispy fingertips. Third, it doesn’t work well when there’s even a little bit of wind, as the wind just puts the flame out.
