Sun Protection Jacket Ultra Light Thin Breathable Packable Outdoor Cycling Jacket Hoodie Skin Clothing for Men & Women

This is very thin. Very. Which is exactly what I wanted. We go hiking in southern Utah, and mornings are fairly cool in spring and fall. I needed something just to keep the cold air off until I got warmed up from the hike, then I needed it to pack small and light. This does exactly that. If I forget sunscreen, I can still wear it, even if it gets pretty hot, like even into the 90's. Rain protection isn't a big concern, but this will keep a light drizzle off. I wear a large t-shirt, and this in a large fits perfectly over a short or long sleeve shirt. A sweatshirt might be a tad tight underneath, but would still be comfortable. For the price, this is a real bargain. My wife got a similar, light weight jacket from that lemon store and it was well over $100. I'm actually going to order another one for a spare.

This item is exactly as described. However it is important to know that it is not a jacket in any conventional sense of the word. It’s a sunscreen. I don’t recall what the sunblock data are but it seems to block some sun. It’s nicely made, it is ultralight, and it’s cheap. If you want something that keeps the sun off and also lets air and moisture travel freely this is the perfect garment. I plan to wear it for summertime cycling and hiking and other outdoor activities when I want to forgo chemical sunscreens. I actually bought it hoping it was more of a jacket. However now that I have it, I suspect I will get some use out of it as a windbreaker. While it is completely permeable to the air I believe it will knock down airflow to some extent. I’m pretty sure it will be a nice addition to a sweater for cool dry breezy times. I am forever in a search of a garment that breathes freely but still knocks down airflow. This might be it. I will try to update this post after I have more experience with it.

This replaced a similar nylon windbreaker I have backpacked with for 5 years. Overall this is highly useful item for any backpacker or cyclist at a great price point. The weight:function rate is very good - it provides slight extra warmth, wind, and rain protection in a breathable and next-to-nothing weight package. My qualms are the following:-U.S. Men's sizing, even the small is very big on my thin 5'8" frame. Please make smaller sizes for women and others!-The material is not as warm or water resistant as my previous windbreaker. The material has pressed lines on it seemingly to make it "softer" or more flexible, but that degrades it ability to resist the elements. My old windbreaker did not have this feature and the material was a bit stiffer and increased its function. (It was pure nylon, not coated with any water-resistant polymer.)-No hand pockets. The zippered chest pocket is okay, though sort of unnecessary. Non-zippered hand pockets would make this item more comfortable and functional. When wearing a coat, one naturally wants to put your hands in pockets.-Hood is elastic rather than drawstring. A drawstring would provide more versatility and improved appearance - the elastic hood is not very comfortable and looks pretty dumb when on.

5 star! My Amazon app is missing the middle star so I'll edit if needed.For the price, to get a four Oz wind layer is super impressive. Haven't tried it in the rain but I wouldn't wear a wind layer in the rain and expect to stay dry lol. The xl fit was comfortabl with the sleeves long enough for my athletic 6'1 , 215ish build. It packs down to a half a fist. The hood can tuck away into the collar no problem. I might make a quick mod to at pit zips just to help regulate temp esp with layers on but 5 out of 5.

Don’t get any rain on ya…sucks to you and cooks you. Poor quality…the Velcro cuts into your neck.

This jacket runs small. I thought it would be a good addition to my hiking gear. It did not fit and I missed the return window. Size up and don't bother if you are broad shouldered.

I’ve been wearing this outdoors and it’s lightweight, breathable, and easy to pack in a bag. It keeps me comfortable without feeling too warm, making it great for walking, hiking, or everyday use in the sun.

Does the job, it is effective. No frills, don't need 'em. Light, like 2.6 oz I think for my large. I am 6' and 193lbs and large doesn't leave a lot of room but I can get a 90gsm alpha direct hoodie underneath. I like it because it does the job and is cheap. I would probably go for something more substantial for a bike ride but for a minimal layer on a backpacking trip, this is ideal. Not waterproof! This is not a rain jacket, take a dedicated layer for that.
