Works! It is made by the same manufacturer as Tufoil. Tufoil kept my car running long after the body fell apart from rust. I just wish HinderRUST was around then, I'd still be driving that car. You can expect a great product and personalized support for any questions on any of their products. I'm a believer.

You are better of buying motor oil

I use this as rust preventive for all my firearms and exposed metal shop tools : bench vise jaws, drill chucks, tool frames, masonry trowels, pipe wrenches, etc. A very thin film is all you need. No gumming at all. It leaves an almost imperceptible film on the metal that you can feel if you're wearing neoprene gloves, but you cannot feel it with a bare hand. It doesn't attract dirt or dust like some oils do. Easily half my firearms are blued, and it has not affected any of their bluing. I used to use Ballistol, CLP, penetrating oil and 0W-20 motor oil. Now I just use this. I've already used 1/4 of the quart container (lotta stuff).

I use this not only to prevent rust but also act as a solvent when cleaning up and restoring vintage machinery. It is too light to be a good way oil on its own, but it is great to help dissolve gunk and grime. I use a little on a 3M pad and rust, grime comes right off. A paper towel wipe down afterwards and the machine or part is in great shape, complete with a protective film.

easy to use seems to work well

Great product with lots of uses. It is expensive, but if you don't waste it, a little goes a long way.
