Will it lift a 10' high 8' wide door?

I installed this opener on an aluminum garage door measuring 15.75 ft wide and 7 ft tall. This is 110.25 sq feet of aluminum door. Your question is for a door measuring 8 ft wide and 10 ft tall. This is 80 sq feet of door. If it's an aluminum door, then it should be lighter than my door. If it's a wooden door then there is no way to make a comparison. You will have to buy and install the extension because your door is 10 ft tall. The factory pack chain track just fit my 7 ft tall door.

Any mounting equipment to mount motor to rafters? Should i buy one of the kits or just yse wood.

I replaced an old unit and used the existing metal braces. If you have have no metal braces currently then yes i'd recommend you buy the kit. The motor should typically be hung from metal not wood. Good luck.
