Will this hold in the high heat of a car parked outside?

Yes. I live in California. I have a dashcam that kept falling off from heat using the 3M-MDF double side pad so I used this tape instead. It hasn't even budged and doesnt give when I remove the dashcam from the mount.

Will this peel paint off the wall if removed?

It will absolutely rip paint off--when I removed a shelf mounted with the tape, it ripped all the way down to the interior of the drywall. It's awesome stuff!

I want to use this to mount a magnet board (4.5lbs) to my kitchen cabinet. If at some point I want to remove it, will the tape damage the cabinet ?

Anyone trying to remove this or aNY other permanent tape needs to apply a lemon essential oil to the edges where the tape and surface meet. Let sit for 5-10 minutes and slowly start to peel off. Keep adding more lemon oil as needed. Lemon essential oil will remove any sticky adhesive on most surfaces, including your skin, with no damage. But you need to get a good, therapeutic grade oil if you want it to work properly. It works fantastic and smells awesome too!!!!

Does it leave a mark when taking it off? Need it stay on so need heavy duty, but temporary

I used this stuff on granite and on tile before and it came off without a mark. It's really thick so you are able to grab it and pull. i haven't tried to take it off of wood.
