Fantastic product, came packaged well and easy to seal back up. I use this in my pups food. I make his food fresh and home made, I use the recommended amount given by a canine nutritionist I follow and have virtually met with before to perfect Milo's (my pup) meal plan. This specific kelp powder has a very light smell, it is easy to use and dissolves quickly into the food by just mixing it into the meat and veg. I also use organic powdered egg shell and Carn4 seed mix in place of his multi vitamin as a combo of seeds were put in place of his multi vitamin since the specific multivitamin we want no longer ships from the UK. Remember to consult your vet and/or pet nutritionist if you have one before giving your pet any new supplements. Kelp has many health benefits for a dog including improved skin and coat condition, enhanced immune function, better digestive health, and support for thyroid and metabolic functions due to its rich nutrient profile. Also good for dental health! This product will last us for months since the bag is pretty big and completely filled, great value for money considering all of the benefits and size.

I just ordered my second bag of this stuff. It tastes just terrible but more about that later. First, why do I put myself through the torture of ingesting it? I have been looking for something that will help maintain the health of my hair and skin, as I believe they are important indicators of overall health. There are quite a few posts that talk about dogs being healthier, their coats gleaming and their teeth shining, after having kelp powder added to their food, so I figured it was worth a try. Also, if you have been looking at kelp supplements you know that the cost for capsules is incredible, whereas one bag of this powder will last three to four months. And I am noticing that my hair shedding seems less and my skin is improving as well. Now the hard part - how does one get this stuff down? I kid you not; it tastes like pond scum, so this is what I do. Every morning I put about a teaspoon in a jar, add a half cup of cold water, put on a tight lid and shake it like crazy. Stirring alone will not work. Even with shaking for a minute there will be small clumps. The next part is important: take several deep breaths and then, while holding your nose, drink the liquid. Do not let go of your nose. Stop drinking to take breaths if necessary but continue breathing through your mouth. It is important not to breathe through your nose even after you have drank all the liquid. Have a glass of plain water handy and, still holding your nose, swish out your mouth and swallow the liquid. Then drink some juice or eat something, and at that point you can let go of your nose. This whole process takes a few minutes but it is the only way I can get it down. I do this every morning while my husband laughs, but he says my hair looks prettier. As I said my hair and skin seem to be improving and I have more energy so I ordered another bag. Not easy to take but very economical and seems to be helping.
