My grandson loves it! I hope he takes great care of this set as it is well made and will last for many years if he's responsible with it. Each piece has it's name on the base so you can clearly see which piece holds what position. It's a bit pricey, but literally everything is now, unfortunately.

Each piece, from the mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex King and the formidable Spinosaurus Queen to the strategic Velociraptor Knights and towering Brachiosaur Rooks, is beautifully detailed and crafted from durable, molded plastic that looks impressive. I noticed that the King's height wasn't listed in the product description, which is unusual for chess sets, so I have provided it here. I've also highlighted the Rook's height since it is taller than the King, adding a unique twist to the traditional game pieces. As someone passionate about dinosaurs and chess, I find this set perfect for my interests. It's an excellent gift for anyone fascinated by dinosaurs, as a creative way to spark their interest in chess. This game is a timeless classic that everyone should have the pleasure of learning and playing.

My granddaughter loves dinosaurs and chess. She was so excited over this chess set. It was super cool. Love it!

It is hard to store them back in the box so unless you get a totally different storage container pay attention to how they are stored when unpacking them. They have on them the symbols for the original game to you know where each one goes. I think it should be cheaper but that is my opinion. A little to expensive. Anyone looking for a gift for someone this is a pretty good idea if they like chess and dinosaurs. It was for my husband.

I bought this for my daughter's boyfriend for Christmas and she said he really loves it. So giving it 5 stars based on that and the fact that my daughter would tell me if there was something wrong with it.

Got the Jurassic chess set for my 11 y/o and he LOVES it!! Admittedly I was concerned about the quality and craftsmanship of the pieces specifically, especially with the price. I was worried they would arrive broken, cracked or soon to be shortly after opening. However I am actually quite impressed with the packaging and the chess pieces themselves! Not rigid, hollow or cheap so that they crack easily. There are a couple (2) pieces that a head or foot is angled slightly more than their partner or opposing piece but find the differences make them more unique. It’s modeled plastic but the pawns are more pliable thankfully so no worries of the beeks or wings breaking. Of course there are slight mold “defects” but that is to be expected and nothing too dramatic that takes from the fun of playing chess with dinosaurs! My son has zero complaints, thinks it’s awesome! Im so happy I took a chance with this set, it’s adorable and so much fun to have the different characters. I’d recommend this chess set for any Jurassic or chess lovers.
