Not your dads truck pens.
These are super cheap, the bang caps they came with were worn out and made very little noise. I cut up some caps from my kids cap gun and they worked and were much louder. The pen mechanism is also very cheap and removes from the pen body very easy. I put some super glue in the body to hold the mechanism in place and that has worked so far. These are not what they once were.
