Q: has anyone used this by rolling against wall like tennis /lacrosse ball and is it good for that method or it has difficulty?

I'm not sure how firm a lacrosse ball is. The X-Firm Beastie has no give. If you're used to something that will squeeze a bit under your weight, I suggest you start with the Original Beastie - http://www.amazon.com/Rumble-Roller-Beastie-Base-Original/dp/B00ECASX9E/ref=pd_sim_hpc_3?ie=UTF8&refRID=0P0WQTV9WH04TPM249EA. The original has a good amount of give and is a great starter if you're new to the Rumble Roller series of equipment. I have both the Original & X-Firm so I can alternate between the 2 depending on my SMR needs. All Rumble Roller products are incredible! Enjoy!!!

Q: Recommend white Original or green X-Firm version?

I've not used the original only extra firm, which does the job. If you get a spot that is extra tender or sore just apply less pressure.
