Awesome pens!
I bought these for myself a while back, and I absolutely love them. They write perfectly, with the proper amount of ink distribution. And you don't have to worry about the angle you hold the pen, because these work perfectly no matter what. The colors are great too, although I'm already eyeing the larger set. Both my mom and best friend tried these out, and they fell in love instantly. I ended up buying this set for both of them as a gift. If you love pens like I do, just buy these... you won't regret it.

Great for adult coloring books, writing
I love these pens. I like to use them for adult coloring books, writing letters or making cards for people, or for use in a journal or planner for myself. They are really versatile and can be used professionally or just for fun. The cost if very affordable compared to most high end fineliner pens, and you get many colors that all look different from each other. As some other people have mentioned, some colors did work better than others. Luckily, though, almost all of mine were perfect and I really only had problems with two of the pens. One of them worked fine at first, and I guess I maybe overused it because it stopped working so well after a bit, but I did notice if I let them sit for a while after using them, they were fine again. So I guess just be gentle with them because they are just pens, not markers. I think that's the mistake I made. They write great when using them in letters, cards, and journals. Sharpies bleed through paper, so you can't really use those when you need both sides, and regular pens are boring. Somehow I think my handwriting is better with these as well. I use the original pack I bought so much that I went on to buy the additional colors! If you think you might get good use out of these sorts of things and want a good variety, go ahead and buy the whole pack. I don't think you can do any better for the great price and quality. Any cheaper and I feel like the quality would go way down, and professional fineliners just aren't possible for most of us who just use them casually.

Changed My Life!
These are wonderful pens, they have literally changed my life. Really. For decades I've journaled in black and white; I originally purchased these for some mixed media projects, and I have just started exploring art journaling. Well, these are too fine for creating larger art works, like mandalas -- but my journaling has taken off by using these pens. It's all connected, but the short version is that when you start opening creative vistas, more and more open. My moleskins are no longer filled with abstract writer's notes, they've become a treasure trove of random ideas, sketches, and inspiration, and, therefore, my writing has taken off, as well as my art. Working with color jumpstarts the process. These are perfect for serious creatives (and not so serious creatives) who want to connect imagination, paper, and pen(s) to unlock what's really waiting to be discovered. The pens are elegant, the case is wonderful, I really have gotten nothing but joy from this modest investment. I no longer face black and white pages -- which have a creative purpose, and I certainly enjoy black and white sketches -- but I've grown into an amazing dialogue between my visual arts play, my writing, and my journaling. I can't compare them to any other fine liners. I bought the Stablio set the same time I purchased these. That set is excellent for mandalas and things requiring a tip that can be used nearly as a paintbrush (without investing in the Faber Castell), but not writing. I am quite besotted with these, if you can't tell. Don't hesitate. Goddess is good.

Staedtler compared to Sharpie Ultra Fine
These just arrived today, I was hesitant to buy them at first but am so glad I did. They have beautiful colors and a nice clean tip encased in metal so it won't break or wear down. I love the fine line that they can make its a lot thinner than I thought it would be. I decided to base my comparison upon another popular, easily accessible fine liner, the sharpie ultra fine marker. Last school year I bought the ultra fine sharpies to make nice colorful and comprehensive notes. Unfortunately sharpies have many cons, for example the nib is said to be a thinner mm, but is not. The tip is also made of plastic which allows them to easily break, fray and wear down after extend use or after a couple times even, if you write extremely hard. Their is also a very distinct strong smell to most markers, especially sharpies. I didn't know if staedtler would have a smell or not, upon arrival I discovered they don't not have a smell at all. Another big thing for people is bleed through or shadowing. Sharpies ultra fine always bleed through paper, no matter what, the only paper I don't think it would is thick cardstock ( I've never tested it) but for everyday notes and use it bleeds through normal notebook or printer paper so badly you can see what word you wrote on the back of the paper clearly. They also bleed through a FEW pages. Staedtler however doesn't bleed through at all on most paper, nor has ghosting. I purchased a five star graph paper notebook and it ghosted a bit through the back, but the paper was super thin and bad quality compared to regular note book paper. I tested them on printer paper and their is very minimal ghosting through, but with darker colors and if you press hard, like I do. there are very tiny spots of bleed through mostly where I placed the pen on the paper when I first started to write a letter. I bought these for mind mapping which is primarily on printer paper, its not bad bleed through or ghosting though, if you write in the same spot on the back it doesn't make the paper wet or wrinkly , like a sharpie would. It's barely noticeable. I tested it in an adult coloring book and there was absolutely no bleed through or ghosting what so ever. So if you are looking for adult coloring this is a perfect choice. The ink flows smoothly, doesn't skip, and doesn't make a scratchy sound on the paper. The ink flow also can help with cursive. Unlike some scratchy markers its hard to keep an even flow for cursive, but with these it glides beautifully. The triangular design makes a painless natural grip and the body itself is sleek and minimal fits nicely in a pencil pouch or compact spaces. All in all, this is a great fine liner, has many uses and vibrant, beautiful colors. Its a great buy.

A really fine line of around 0.3 mm. I bought these for those times when my 0.4 mm set is just a touch too much and find that I am using them more often than not for minute/note taking and outlining. I also have this set , so quite an addiction, all things considered! They are light and comfortable to use with smooth flow and I have not found any bleed thru, even with the darkest colours, using at least 80g/m2 paper. The 20 triangular fineliners, with 'superfine metal-clad tip' are presented in a solid and sturdy plastic-type 'desk-top box', measuring around 20.75 cm x 16.75 cm x 1.5 cm, where the top can neatly fold under when open (if required), to create a stand with the pens sitting at an angle. Each has its own slot and they are easy to extract and return. Each silver-grey coloured barrel fineliner measures just short of 16 cm and is easy to open and close, the latter with a satisfying click indicating that the cap is fully in place. But in the event a cap does get left off: 📝 'The water-based ink is 'Dry Safe' which means that the pens can be left uncapped for days without drying up (ISO 554).' The caps & opposite ends show the colour of the fineliner, to aid selection, depending on how you choose to store yours and they usefully fit into a pencil wrap , when there is a need to be out and about with a selection of tools. The 20 I received are a good basic cross section of colours with shades of blue & green ~ exactly as shown in the stock image above. Each is embossed on one side: ✤ STAEDTLER ✤ Triplus ✤ Fineliner (Dry Safe) Mine have been in use for well over a year now and are still going strong. ooOoo EDIT: ~ TIN of 30: ASSORTED COLOURS ~ ALL DIFFERENT (IMAGES 11-20 refer) ※ PRODUCT REF: 334 M30 ※ STAEDTLER ※ TRIPLUS FINELINER ※ 0.3 mm SUPERFINE POINT PENS ※ WATER-BASED INK ‘Made in Germany’ Measuring in around 30.5 cm x 17 cm x 1.5 cm, with rounded corners, this is a quality-hinged tin of 30 different coloured ‘0.3 mm fineliners’, which is sealed on arrival, and wrapped with a plastic-type sleeve across the middle. Inside the 30 fineliners are neatly presented in colour order on a BLACK-coloured, plastic-type grooved liner. I already have other packs of these and know then to be long lasting and reliable. 0.3 mm is a very fine line, so not too bold a colour, especially from the paler shades, which may need ‘going over’. On the other hand, the bolder colours transfer well first time, dry fast and I have had no experience of smudging or bleed-thru on good quality paper e.g. in my current favourite notebooks . I mainly use these fineliners for under-lining, stencilling and occasionally for a bit of intricate colouring in. Sometimes I use them to outline ahead of colouring-in a larger area with other sized ‘points’ in the impressive STAEDTLER range, the same colours matching perfectly. Elegant in a DARK-GREY, lightly textured, check effect for the triangular barrel; the cap and opposite end are similar to the ink colour to aid easy selection. Each fineliner is easy to select and withdraw from the tin. On the barrel on one side, in SILVER-GREY colouring is simply: ♦ ‘STAEDTLER ~ triplus ~ fineliner ~ DRY SAFE’ Each is around 16 cm in length with the cap in situ. The cap is around 4 cm long, allowing for the functional shirt clip and handily fits over the end for safekeeping. It is easy to pull off and returns with a satisfying click, but if a cap does get left off, it has that ‘dry safe’ label and is very forgiving. Comfortable in hand, the metal-cased tip gives a very fine line on paper, but there is no scratchiness with these, in my experience to date. With a great cross-section of shades, the colours I received are exactly as shown on the front of the tin. The code numbers of each are shown on the back of the tin at the bottom, beginning with a bright YELLOW thru to a jet BLACK: 10 1 430 43 4 24 2 29 222 21 61 20 6 36 3 37 30 34 54 550 53 51 52 38 16 763 76 82 8 9 ...although, the right to occasionally replace a colour is reserved (if necessary), as is usual with this type of product.

I've been looking for the perfect coloured pen to help keep my agenda organized, and these might be it. Their fine tip allows for more precise writing, while the thin profile of the pen body (in combination with the triangular shape) enables you to hold the pen more comfortably and write for longer. The colours themselves are well-saturated, yet they don't bleed through the thin pages of my new planner. The only thing I don't love about these pens is the case they come in. The case itself is quite thin (not much wider than the pens themselves), but it feels awkward to open and set up all the time. I would prefer a smaller, round/triangular case than the thin, flat case they come in, but that's a minor gripe.
