Southwire Extension Cord Review
I purchased the Southwire Extension Cord in 2019 after my previous extension cord failed, not knowing quite what to expect. I decided to give it a shot, and I have been pleasantly surprised by how well it has held up over the years. This cord has become my primary outdoor extension for everything from running shop vacs and holiday lighting to powering a variety of other electrical equipment. It has consistently surpassed all my expectations. Regardless of the weather—rain, snow, or bright sunshine—the cord continues to perform without any electrical issues, fraying, or visible weathering. Its durability and reliability have truly impressed me, making it a dependable choice for outdoor use. I still own and regularly use this very same cable today, and I would highly recommend it to anyone in need of a sturdy, trustworthy extension cord.

Good Afoordable Cord
Works good. Powers my ShopVac from my 3rd floor apartment to the parking lot. all I needed. probably can't handle too much more. not 100% power, but close enough. hasn't got hot.. I only use it for 20-30minutes.

Standard duty thin sheathing.
This is a basic extension cord for regular work. Nothing heavy duty or high currant. It will not withstand too much abuse or abrasion. You’ll be patching with electrical tape sooner than later if you do. That being said, it’s light weight. Easy to reel on to a reel for storage. I used these for a pitching machine for a Little League. Worked great. It is not heavy duty by any means. Hope this helps.

Excellent value
Great value for a long extension cord. I use it in the house and garage. I just wipe it down before using in house. Really helps in those large open concept spaces for my vacuum and steam cleaner. Bright color makes it easy to see. It is high-quality, flexible, and thick, but lightweight.
