how wet does it leave the carpet?

Carpets are left damp rather than soaking wet. Ours dried completely between one and two hours.

can this be used safely on berber/loop carpets? All examples are regular pile.

I have not used the cleaner on Berber/Loop myself but I cannot see any reason why there should be any problems unless the carpet manufacturer stipulates specific makes or types.
