It’s really good!!!
I got this case for my iPad 8th gen to use for school as well as keeping it as my drawing tablet. Things I like: 1. It’s very well built, it’s sturdy when using it as a makeshift laptop and the keys feel good when typing. 2. It’s heavy, but I like this aspect of it, it feels like good quality and I like the rubber/fabric ish texture it has. 3. I LOVE that’s it’s detachable, I can just pluck it off the magnetic keyboard case and just use it to draw. It’s also not hard to remove my iPad from the case like other brands of cases, very easy and snug when inserting it. 4. I love how you can securely close it with the magnetic flap, unlike others this one closes and stays closed, instead of flapping open. Things I don’t like: 1. Honestly the only problem I currently have with this case is the small Apple Pencil holder. I use a thicker cover for my Apple Pencil to help with the grip and thickness of it for my wrist. Now this isn’t a huge deal breaker but I was kinda looking forward to this function. So if you’re looking for a case that also holds your Apple Pencil, and really want that function, either don’t use a cover for the pencil, or get a different version of this cover. Again, not a dealbreaker for me.

Perfect keyboard with fantastic wrap-around protection that many other keyboards don’t have
I also own the Apple Magic Keyboard but prefer the Zagg keyboard for so many different reasons. The main thing I really didn’t like about the Apple keyboard is it didn’t provide wrap-around protection to my iPad. Unfortunately I dropped the Apple Keyboard (in the closed position with my iPad inside) a couple of times, and each time the iPad fell out or got damaged around its edges. On the other hand, this Zagg keyboard is PERFECT! It provides great wrap-around protection with a shock-absorbing rubber bumper. I also love that the keyboard and bumper are two separate pieces, allowing me to remove the iPad from the keyboard without having to remove it from the bumper. Other great things about the Zagg: • Keyboard feels good (9/10). For comparison, I would rate the Magic Keyboard as a 10/10. • Has hot keys that the Magic Keyboard doesn’t have. • I personally like that it has a separate battery and doesn’t cause parasitic drain on the iPad’s battery (with the Apple keyboard, my iPad seemed to run out of juice too quickly.) • Unlike the Apple keyboard, the Zagg has a built-in holder for the Apple pen! And when you close up the keyboard, it securely holds the pen in place so you don’t lose it. The holder is also positioned along the side of the iPad, allowing the pen to continue charging. (With the Apple keyboard, I frequently didn’t bring the pen with me for fear of losing it). • It can be paired with two different Bluetooth devices and quickly switched between the devices just by pressing an assigned hot key button. This is a FANTASTIC feature that more Bluetooth devices should incorporate (in fact, I would prefer if it had THREE hot keys to pair it with three different devices). I use the keyboard to switch between my iPad and iPhone. • The Apple keyboard has an advantage in terms of the joint connecting the keyboard to the iPad is really strong and stays in whatever position you place it. That’s not true of the Zagg, which has two different slots that the bottom of the iPad must be placed into in order to keep it open. But (and again, this is a GREAT design feature), the two slots have a very strong magnet so when you place the iPad into it, it essentially locks into place. I’ve never owned a Zagg product before but am really impressed by the quality and excellent design features of this keyboard.

Decent Keyboard, but Pencil Holder is Not Good
Overall a decent keyboard, but there are some things that are genuinely frustrating enough to not get the 5 stars. Pros: -Easy to detach -Easy setup— no issues with getting it to connect, and great battery life -For how compact it is, type feel is pretty decent. I have no issues with typing on this thing/accuracy -It’s easy to bring along for travel Very durable Cons: -Easy to get dirty in my opinion (but also easy to clean; this didn’t factor into me taking a star off. I knew what it would look like going in) -the balance feels off when using it, so even on a straight surface and with the magnets, it can still collapse. And you really only can use it on a desk like surface. It’s so back heavy when in keyboard mode. -Probably my biggest gripe: the pencil holder isn’t snug enough, so my Apple brand pencil CONSTANTLY falls off, sometimes without me noticing. The pencil moves around a lot; the holder is far too big for it. I’ve had much cheaper keyboard cases and never had this issue ever before this one of the Apple Pencil falling out. It’s only ever secure if it’s closed with the strap over it.

You Won’t Regret Buying It
ZAGG has always been a quality product. That is why I was willing to pay a little bit more for this case and keyboard. Well they delivered again. I am impressed by the quality, durability, and design. If I had more time I would go into more detail about the design. Let’s just say, it is easy to adjust back and forth between opening, setting up for typing, and closing. Also, I love how easy it is to remove my iPad from the typing mode cradle to use it without the keyboard. It really is a great feature. Last but not least, the case is solid sturdy and doesn’t flop around. When I set it up in typing mode, I’m confident that it will stay put and not fall over. I highly recommend this Pro Keys case. It’s so worth the few extra dollars.

Excellent IPad Protection with an easy to type Chargeable Keyboard
The case is strong and solid. We have used both this case and keyboard in the past and it provides excellent protection for stuffing into luggage, backpacks, etc. The keyboard last a long time on a charge. Charging is easy using a USB-C port on the keyboard. The keyboard works well with nice key spring - one can type quite fast with it. The case is easy to detach because it is held magnetically - some may prefer a more solid connection to the keyboard, but overall it has worked for us. If you are a heavy keyboard user and/or a key banger like my wife, the keys will wear out after a couple years, including a few that come loose. Missing keys are not a fatal flaw as the button still works. Overall, this is a great product.

Built for Neanderthals. I am not a Neanderthal.
Wanna destroy your nails? Buy this keyboard case. I mostly use my iPad on my lap, not a table, so I need something that can stay upright while I type without a big old kickstand behind it. After much research, I picked the Zagg, because it has the “tent-style” folding case that will work on your lap, it’s sturdy, and it has lighted keys. After 2 weeks, I’ve decided I’m really not happy with it. Here’s what I hate about it: * The thick rubber protective case that goes around the iPad is monstrously heavy, much more so even than the keyboard part. I think my laptop is lighter than this thing when the case and keyboard are together * Instead of cutouts over the on/off button and the volume buttons, there are rubber covers that are part of the case and made of the same material, and that are supposed to allow you to press the buttons underneath them. Except in the case of the volume buttons, they don’t. They sit too high over the actual buttons, so there’s space underneath them, and I just can’t push that unyielding rubber down far enough to activate the buttons. I can control the volume by swiping down and using the control center on the screen, but I’ve completely destroyed a couple of fingernails trying to use the volume buttons as I’ve done for years. Utterly impossible. * The magnets that hold the case upright are so strong that it’s frequently a struggle to lift the case off the keyboard to close it. * It’s hard to slide my Wacom Bamboo pen into the rubber pen holder, and harder to get it out. More fingernail damage. *The outside cover that has the logo on it has 4 separate folds in it, so sometimes when trying to free the iPad from the case or insert it on the keyboard, it goes where you want it to, and other times the magnets attract and stick in the wrong positions. It can be a little like wrestling an octopus. * It’s ugly. Period. I want to return this, but I’m not sure if I’m ever going to be able to get this damn case off without tearing off every fingernail I’ve got or resorting to a box cutter. I’ve explored around the edges and can’t find a single location where I can slip a corner of it off of my iPad. I’m really afraid I’m going to damage my iPad or shatter the screen with the amount of pressure it’s going to take to remove this thing. If you fling your iPad around your cage like the gorilla with a suitcase in the old Samsonite luggage commercials, then this is the keyboard case for you. If you don’t want to have to start lifting weights to open your iPad or ruin your manicure trying to adjust the volume, this one’s a hard no. No one needs THIS much protection. Sorry I bought it.

One of the best keyboard cases for iPad Air (4th Generation) out there!
First off, let me preface this by saying this is a long review, but PLEASE read! I don’t review products often at all, but this keyboard case deserves more than 5 stars in my opinion. THIS CASE IS AMAZING, and I’m writing this review on it right now. I received the new 4th generation iPad Air for Christmas (2020), and ever since I’ve been searching high and low for a functional, high-quality keyboard case. I have high expectations for laptop/electronics protection, and needed a case that protected, had a removable backlit keyboard, a space for the Apple Pencil, and was relatively lightweight. Of course I looked at the Apple Magic Keyboard first and was appalled at the price. Even more so, the lower-end model did not have a removeable backlit keyboard, so that was out. I went in search on Amazon and looked every night for over a week. There are the cheaper models that average ~$40-60, and I was tempted to buy one of those, until this case. Let me tell you, you won’t be disappointed here... PROS: - VERY easy to “install” - simply clip the base case on and attach the keyboard via the magnetic backing, pair with your iPad and you’re good to go. - Keyboard automatically turns on once paired and iPad is set on one of the magnetic strips to prop it up. - The first stock photo is somewhat misleading on what the case actually looks like - it is not propped up and tilt-able like the Magic keyboard, but rather the back of the keyboard case is magnetic so it will detach from the part of the case surrounding the iPad itself (that is what is pictured, making it look like it’s floating). - Unlike other cases that claim to fit the iPad Air 4 10.9” but are really made for the iPad Pro, this case is specifically fitted for the Air such that the cutout for the camera fits exactly, charging port hole and Touch ID cutout fit well (other cases I looked at were made for the Pro, so Touch ID was covered by the case) - Keyboard is responsive and feels like laptop keys; They are very easy and natural to type on, unlike some after-market keyboards. - Keyboard is backlit and can change color (see last photo of blue backlight in the dark). Colors are: white, yellow, purple, light blue, dark blue, red, and green. There are 3 brightness settings on the back light as well, and the option to turn it off. - Keyboard attaches to the back of the case, so if/when you don’t need it, you can easily remove it and your iPad is still protected on the back and sides. - Reattaching the keyboard is smooth - the back of the case is magnetic and goes exactly where it’s supposed to; you don’t have to fidget with the iPad to adjust it into place. - There is a slot to hold the Apple Pencil on the side, and it will charge via the iPad’s mag strip while on the case. The flap that folds over also holds the Pencil in place when the case is closed. NOTE: I do not have my Apple Pencil yet, so I can’t comment on ease of removal or how well it stays put on the case during travel/use. CONS (very few): - This case does not have a Sleep/Wake functionality, so if your iPad is on when you close the case, it remains on until it’s shut off manually or goes to sleep. - I’m a girl who was looking for a stylish case as well as functional, and I wish this case came in other colors. The description says this case is black, but it’s more of a medium gray in my opinion. Kind of an ugly color, but I”m definitely willing to overlook that with how functional this is. - When the iPad is set on it’s most upright dock on the case, it doesn’t hold well on your lap. On the second, more tilted setting, it functions perfectly as a laptop (which is how I have it right now as I’m typing this). If you want it set nicely on the most upright setting, you’ll have to have it on a hard flat surface. - Obviously the keyboard is going to add some weight to the iPad. Being an Air, it’s very lightweight, so in comparison, having the keyboard attached adds a bit of heft to it. Not necessarily a con, but just know your Air won’t feel as “Air-y” with this case. OVERALL OPINION: - A MUST BUY if you’re looking for a great keyboard case, especially as an alternative to Apple’s models that cost an arm and a leg. - I LOVE IT.

Incredibly Intuitive - No need to relearn the keys on it
I’ve only just gotten this case, but after using it for about 4-5 hours I already love it. Typing is so easy because you don’t have to train yourself to learn where the keys are. It’s incredibly intuitive. Wherever you think the backspace key is, it’s there and it’s the same for pretty much all the other keys with the exception of the “special keys” where you usually have your F-keys. The Bluetooth connection is really good. After connecting it the first time, you don’t have to worry about reconnecting each time you reattach it to the keyboard. Literally the only thing that disappointed me was the fact that it’s a bit misleading in the picture. It looks like it’s a floating type case, but it’s not. It’s not like the $300 Apple Magic Keyboard that doesn’t have the iPad touch the keyboard and kind of just floats and lets you adjust it. There are two grooves that you can set it down on. Even though I was looking forward to the floating type of keyboard, the amount of money I’m saving and the great feel of the actual keyboard, makes up for it. I also really like that no matter what, whether it’s attached to the keyboard or not, it always has a case on whereas with the AMK it only has a case when attached. Similar to the AMK though, it attaches with a really strong magnet which is pretty cool. Overall, what you’re getting for the price is really worth it. LogiTech has a similar case, but it costs $226 and the only difference I can really see is the way it connects to the keyboard - smart connectivity and the trackpad. I actually thought I might miss the trackpad, but being able to switch through apps so seamlessly with the keyboard shortcuts makes me wonder if the extra cost for the trackpad is actually worth it because I don’t think I’d use it much. Overall, the way it connects is not a big deal though and since the iPad and keyboard use the same charger, it’s not like you have to bring a special one or anything. I’m extremely happy with my purchase thus far and was able to write 5 pages for an essay like nothing. Really starting to feel like with this case I’ll be replacing my MacBook Pro for lots of things. 10/10 would recommend - save yourself the money and get a great product that does the same thing.

Great
I like it. Works well. I’ve had for a few weeks and have not had to charge it yet. The added case for around the actual tablet is a nice bonus and adds to the sturdiness and durability. Would buy again and I recommend it.

Great case for iPad Air
Works great with an iPad Air. USB-C charging. Better typing feel than the comparable Apple keyboard cover. I like how you can use it as a case or remove the keyboard altogether. Great battery life.

Excellent product
This product is great. It types excellent. The instructions could be a bit better. I contacted the manufacturer and they called me back right away. Can’t say enough to get that type of service. Had questions regarding the charging of the product. The representative was so friendly and helpful. Also their website is helpful as well. I use an Apple iPad Pro and it was so easy to pair. It also paired to my phone so I could type instread of using the small keyboard on the phone. Over all excellent product especially the price. Unfortunately it stopped working. Couldn't pair it again or charge it. Because I purchased through Amazon company wouldn't assist in reolacements
