Worked as it should every tome I’ve used it so far. Pretty fast and easy as well.

Right tool for the job
After reading the product reviews I determined it would be beneficial to take great care with the amount of force used when tightening and loosening the repointing tool. The technique used is more important than strength or force. Practicing your repointing technique with some old, used, or beat up darts is helpful before working on any darts of value. The tool works perfectly when used properly and it should last a long time.

DO NOT BUY! Terrible quality. Used it for one set and the threads stripped.
Only got one use out of it before threads stripped and nearly ruined my darts. Do NOT buy.

Fine if one uses it sparingly and carefully, maybe. Pricey.
I bought this repointing tool in December 2022. It is now Feb 2023 and I've already replaced this tool because of a failure. The threaded stud where one attaches the dart barrel has stripped to a degree that many dart barrels simply will not work with the tool any longer.I used this tool a lot in the short time I've had it. When the tool failed, I had probably repointed more than a dozen sets easily. It was fun trying different points on different darts. Toward the end, I noticed a bit of play when attaching the barrels. That was the first red flag. Also, I should explain to those who haven't done this, this process exerts shear forces along the threads using simple push/pull mechanics, so the tool's threaded stud is a point of potential high failure.For the price, it would be better if the owner could replace just the threaded stud or any other piece of this tool from the manufacturer as a cheaper alternative.
