Surprised that this is not among the questions: What is the shield (foil, braided, twisted, etc.)?

There is a copper braided connector for the ground connections.  I've used GLS Audio microphone cable in a professional studio and stage applications for fifteen years.  I've never had a single failure or issue.  The cable is supple and contains oxygen-free copper.  I have no Earthly idea what the other respondent was talking about regarding a shield and being susceptible to noise.   That's hogwash.  Wire it correctly for balanced applications and this cable is dead quiet.   And it's a heck of a lot easier to work with than star-quad.  My only concern was shipping weight as GLS Audio was based in California.  However, they would have an annual sale where I would buy five 300' spools and get discounted ground shipping.  I highly recommend this cable.

Can i use this to make 1/8 inch cables?

*Sigh*  This is bulk cable.  You must solder your desired end on the cable (TRS or XLR).  I suppose you could solder on an 1/8" (3.5mm) TRS end, but I've never seen those for sale.

what is the outer jacket outside diameter?

I measured 3/16 inch, manufacture in produced description states 6 mm

what percent is the shielding on this cable?  A picture would be nice if possible.

The shielding is 100% coverage!! No way to send a picture to this response!! Very good cable! I own a sound company and make my own cables, I’m doing approx 5 gigs a week and now that I’m making my own cables my cable problem has dropped 99%!! I bought in the passed year 4 rolls of this cable!
