Originally I had this wall mounted to save space, but had to mount it upside down otherwise the wooden dowel holding the paper roll would fall straight out. Because of it being backwards, I have to carefully pull the paper out the opposite way preventing tears from the jagged edge as the paper is dispensed, and then using the straight edge to cut the paper. After trying to make this work for a month, I’ve removed the wall mount which means I can use the serrated edge for paper cutting, as intended. To my disbelief, it’s not sharp enough to cut through the paper. It’s merely there stopping the paper from dispensing further as you tear through it unevenly. I’ve resorted to using a utility knife to make clean cuts, seeing as this product is not designed to do so. The hope was to save space and instead I ended up losing both space and time. Overall, a disappointing purchase. UPDATE: While I may not recommend this particular product, I was pleasantly surprised by the customer service received by the company who have issued a full refund.
