ProCare 79-81233 Squared Toe Post-Op Shoe

Great product just like the doctor order. Same quality as the Medium we got from the hospital. Well build great quality and value for the money. Cheaper than the pill box here if you are familiar with that store. I was just surprised to see how small it was as the medium is about 2 to 3 sizes too big so I figured a small would fit great. Sadly it didnt but it was worth the try. I would have no issues buying here again. I wear women's usa size 4 to 6 which small to begin with. Great support and ease of no. No issues at 78 years old getting it on and off. Sadly I needed foot surgery. Happily, I FOUND this product certainly does the job of protecting your foot to keep the pain away

I purchased this on the suggestion of my podiatrist when I broke some toes, went to urgent care and they didn’t have a splint to hold me over until I could get to the podiatrist. It is a little big for me and doesn’t hold the front of my foot down as firmly as it should be. And I wear a size 11 women’s shoe. Next time I will know to get the next size down. But it still works for me even though it’s a bit loose.

I mainly picked this shoe for my toe because it was the only one that had clear info on sizing. All the others had mixed reviews and conflicting size charts that made no sense to me. This one, the medium says clearly Women's 8.5-10. I wear a 9... it fits perfectly! My toe has just a bit of space before the end so it's neither hanging off the edge nor is the shoe too long which would make me trip. I've been wearing in a few hours and it's pretty comfortable and seems to be helping the ache that the other shoe I was using was not since it bent a little. This one is solid and doesn't bent. It is easy to put on and adjust.

Bought this for a friend after the ER he went to gave him a round toed, too small shoe--for a broken big toe! This is sturdy--the square toe provides support underneath, prevents your foot from "falling off" or out of the shoe, and protects you against stubbing the broken big toe on chair legs, etc. It's very adjustable too. It's very hot where we live, so he has worn it without socks, but it's more comfortable with socks.

I can't believe how quickly this fell apart. I had one from the doctor and it lasted about a week. I ordered the same brand because I thought another week would get me to the point where I wouldn't have to wear it anymore. Within 2 days the structure underneath the foam pad had completely disintegrated around the heel and had a large piece of plastic sticking into my heel. I will post photographs of what this look like.

A friend was sent home from surgery with one of these Pro-Care shoes a few years ago after a foot injury. That shoe was durable and fit well. This past winter, she had another injury and subsequent surgery. She wore the three-year old one until it finally was worn to the point it was not safe. Post-op, she was sent home with what appeared to be an identical replacement and she began wearing this one since the original was spent. It lasted for only a month of wear before the sole near the toes developed a crack. She repaired with some glue. Next, the mid-sole developed a crack and began to break apart. So much of the material had crumbled that it was not able to be safely reattached. I purchased a replacement from Amazon. The price was reasonable and the reviews were solid, so the hope was that it would be similar to her original. While the fit and appearance were the same as the other two, its durability was even less. First, the removable insert went flat and split in the first week. She replaced it with the one from the previous shoe that was worn but usable. A few days later, the sole near the toes began to peel. Shoe Goo temporarily solved that. Days later the sole developed a hole below the ball of her foot. The design and fit were as good as the original, but the durability and quality of the shoe changed from the first to the two from the last eight months. I purchased a different brand as a replacement, and it has been vastly superior, despite the fact that she is becoming more active and getting more steps as she heals.

This product works great for broken toes or broken feet. It is a great transitional product from a cast or boot, although I ordered the shoe immediately. I have had numerous "adventures" with foot surgery, falls, etc, & have broken the 5th metatarsal on each foot. I know the difficulties of using a heavy orthopedic boot both as a nurse AND a patient; they're a pain to get on & off, they're VERY heavy, & it is painful to slide the foot back into the boot. This shoe was SO much better as soon as it arrived!!!! I cannot tell you that it was as supportive because it isn't. It lacks the steel rods on the sides of the ankle, so if you need to keep the foot from rotating (i.e. a sprain or a metatarsal fracture) this may not work early on. But this was like a breath of fresh air for my broken foot. It slides right on to get out of bed in 2 seconds, & it doesn't hurt to GET it on. The Velcro holds it tight, & it has worn well; I've been in it 2 weeks. Fractures hurt like Hell, as anyone who has had one knows. Time & stability are what help the pain. This shoe is great for the price; the sizing was correct, & it is not HOT & heavy. The best part is that it's not killing my back from the rocking motion of having one hip significantly higher than the other. I wish I had one of these with any of the other fractures I have lived through; great shoe!

This boot has saved my life. I jammed 3 of my toes into the dresser and injured the top of my foot. I’ve been in this boot for close to 3 weeks now. It’s held up perfectly good but I’ve been walking in it a ton so I’ve worn it out in 3 weeks but I’m walking 4 miles a day in it so it’s ok. Most people with injuries aren’t out walking but my particular issue is I can walk fine. I just can’t put a shoe on right now so to my injuries so this boot has saved me and it’s good quality. I paid 40 dollars for one at a medical supply store down the street so this is a deal.

These shoes look a bit weird but sure do the trick! Easy to get into - cinch up - and start motoring! I bought 2 of them to make a pair as I suffer from lower leg edema (fluid retention). I chose to sew a small extention strap to the end of what's provided as my insteps are swollen but for most what's given should suffice. The inside foot tread could be a bit better cushioned however as they seem to feel a bit "hard" on my foot bottoms. Heavier socks might help some here however...

sizing chart accurately represents the product, arrived quickly in good condition. Great alternative to a full soft aircast.

The shoe completely did the trick. After breaking my foot my foot was too swollen to wear a regular shoe.

This shoe is light weight and smart my podiatrist said they are purchasing this brand to use with patients. It is easier to use the Velcro on the shoe to fit the size of my foot with various dressings.
