Paper Mate® InkJoy® Gel Pens, Medium Point, 0.7 mm, Black Barrel, Black Ink, Pack Of 12

I love these pens. I use them for drawing, sometimes writing. The ink dries super quickly so I don't smear my work which is more important in drawing than writing because I often drag my hand across my lines. The pen bleeds when held against paper which is useful for dotting and detailing. It even causes nice line-weight variation. One issue with these pens is that they don't last too long. You can visibly see the ink going down in the well day by day. If you use these pens to write school notes, they will only last about three weeks. They last for about two sketchbooks for me. It'd be nice if they made these pens refillable (they cannot even be taken apart), because their bodywork is nice and it'd be better to not have to spend roughly $1.5 per pen. Despite their poor longevity, these pens are amazing and are the only tool I use in my main sketchbooks now.

In comparison to the G2 and unibal 207 (bold and medium), this pen beats them both in terms of smoother ink flow and gel drying. If you need to draw long lines, this pen doesn't bleed like the other two. Build quality is good, the pen is coated with a grippy compound.

I am a very picky pen user. And for writing these are my favorite. There’s never a break in the line written. Ink drys wicked fast and I have to have a clicker. In my top 5 of my favorite pens.

I am obsessed with these pens. I love gel pens, but it's honestly hard to find some that are affordable, long lasting, and won't get all over your fingers. These meet all of those requirements and then some. I cant even explain how beautiful they write. They are freaking amazing! Buy them!

These are the only ink pens that I like to use for work!!! After writing an entire day, I don’t have any issues with my joints in my hands. Because the pens are so soft! Also the ink is perfect for a number of services, birthday cards, signing important letters, and even more! These are the only pens I will ever use!

I’m a bit of a pen snob. lol These are great pens but unfortunately they are a bit costly. If you have a pen thief at the office, hold them close!

Great pens for writing. It does not break and writes smoothly on paper. Make sure you have no lotions on your hand because it will transfer onto paper leaving residue and effecting the way the gel pen writes.

Love these pens! I have every color! They are so smooth to write with. No cutting out or anything. I write a lot, and these have quite a long life to them! Would definitely recommend.

These are my go to pen. I was extremely disappointed with the batch that I received. I’ve never had any issues in the past with these pens, but for some reason the batch that I received, only about half of the pens actually functioned properly. I just sat a final exam for Uni at home because of COVID and I went through 5 pens as the ink in 4 of the pens would just come out in blotches and would stop working. I put it down to receiving a bad batch. I have since, ordered a second batch and am curious to see if there’s any issues with the new ones. Other than that, these pens (when there’s no issues) are definitely my favorite pen to use. I would’ve given a 5 star rating but the bad batch that I received warranted only a 3 star rating.

aside from a longer than anticipated delivery time this item is great. It is better than I had assumed it would be, these are great pens.

These are my all-time favourite pens! They write smoothly, feel great in the hand, and have great colour payoff. I've got almost all of the colours of these pens, and they are all fantastic, not just the black ones. It's nice to be able to buy the black ones in bulk for school and work! I docked a star for this reason: when I tried to buy these, I was initially trying to buy the 0.5 size in the 12 pack box. I was informed that it could not be shipped anywhere near me. I tried the other number options for 0.5 and was given the same response. The only ones I was able to purchase were the 0.7. This item is not available on Amazon.com, and I live in a very large Canadian city. I was not able to find a good reason that the 0.5s could not be shipped to me, so I assume that they were not available, even though they were an option for purchase.
