I’ve used this twice now and I am still alive and not sick and one time was some pretty brown river water. Easy to use, lightweight, seems durable, water comes out tasting pure. Seems easy enough to keep in good order between uses, I run bleach water through it and then regular water. Need to figure out how to luvricate the o rings properly and once I figure that out then with a few replacement filters this should last for years to come.

After a 150km hike I have to say I was very happy with this filter system. It is a bit cumbersome with the hoses at first but when you get use to it, it works extremely well. During long days hiking, I can stop and fill my 1 litre bottle within a minute. That comes in handy when you are thirsty and need water quickly. After a long days hike, you are tired and want to set up camp quickly so you can eat, the speed of this filter system will have you eating a nice hot meal in no time. The pump handle works fast and well, you can't pump too fast though, just let the mechanism do its job. I would recommend this filter as your primary water filter. Be smart though, always bring a back up water filtration system when hiking long distances. I still have my little hand pump and water stabilizing pills. I would buy this again when the other one is worn out.
