Better than the old school tool.
This wheel weight tool is absolutely perfect... if you do one thing: take off that silly plastic cover from the hammer head. Just be careful to not miss and smack the wheels. That plastic is too soft to allow a good knock on the weights. Take it off, problem solved. Just make sure to aim good.

Better than the snapon wheel weight tool
I recently got my own tire balancer after my friend was TIREd (heh) of letting me into the shop he works at so I could balance my wheels. So I used their fancy snapon and bluepoint tire weight tools, which are old but worked well enough... Well let me tell you, this Gearwrench weight removal/install tool works so much better I can hardly believe it. It grips the clip on weights perfectly and can take bites out of lead and zinc weights to make the correct weight you need. The nylon hammer face is gentle on rims. Gearwrench is the best!

Great tool for wheel weights
Takes wheel weights off like a breeze. It's nice that it has a replaceable head where the hammer is. Nice grip to hold on to and very sturdy tool. Great if you do tire balances alot.

Can actually grip the smack on real weight and pull it off without ease with the design they have.
So I'm a tire technician and I've used these. At the last place I worked at and the new place. I went to go to had the cheaper ones and they sucked. This one is designed well has good weight to and has a nice design for the snack on tire weights to pull them off easy.

Très bonnes pinces pour retirer les pesée mais le petit moin est qu'elles ne cogne pas fort je dois utiliser une autre paire de pince pour cogner sur les pesée en les installant sur les roues
