Ausome, well made gaskets. The felpro intake gaskets also comes with the throttle body gasket ( round one and rectangle) for bolth designs not shown in the pictures. I am replacing the China aluminum black gaskets that only lasted 2 years. The fel-pro are more robust, made in the U.S.A. and I think they will last alot longer. My symptoms were rough idle when cold start, lean condition, multiple misfire. Then it ran fine after it warmed up. Spraying brake clean around intake made little to no difference. It runs great now about 3 days after repair, starts right up and idles and runs great. Make sure you take the throttle body off and dump the oil out of the intake manifold. I am putting an oil catch can on to solve that problem. I got at least a cup of oil out of mine due to the pcv. system. 2000 gmc yukon 5.3 slt. LS1. in Texas

This kit comes with the updated HD style intake manifold gasket that installs onto the cylinder head first rather then the old style that clips onto the bottom on intake manifold first. This kit also comes with new throttle body O-rings for both 3bolt gen3 style throttle bodies and 4 bolt gen4 throttle body, also comes with EGR gaskets, PCV o ring and 8 injector o-rings. There are many knock off brand gasket makers that copy this exact kit out there but you will never beat felpros R&D and high quality gaskets and o rings. The only gasket manufacturer I’ve been using on all my rigs for many years never disappointed one time!

This is a newer version of the oem gasket for gen 3 ls motors. Its a night and day difference in seal assurance compared to oem and the first version of these gaskets. More pricey but worth the quality.

The OE gaskets for these engines are plastic carriers that snap onto the manifold. These go *around* two of the cylinder head bolts to retain them (DO NOT TAKE THE BOLTS OUT!) and thus they are fit to the heads, then the manifold is placed on top. There are little rubber locator "pins" on the gaskets that go into the corresponding holes on the manifold so you know its lined up correctly. This is just a better design in that you have both the rubber "nib" on both sides and the larger, flatter surface of the rubber on the carrier instead of the seal being in the OE plastic carrier. They're an easy install - I didn't have trouble even on an Express van, other than the jenga-like puzzle on getting the manifold out in the first place. The rest is simple. If you have high fuel trims on BOTH banks at idle along with rough starting in cold weather and have checked the other potential places for a vacuum leak leaking intake gaskets are likely the cause. This will fix you right up and its a pretty easy job. Just pay attention to what goes where in terms of electrical connectors and such and be EXTREMELY careful that no debris goes into the open ports of the intake while you have the manifold off.

Much better and easier to install design that loops over the valve cover bolt heads instead of the gm design that clip to the bottom of the intake manifold all loose and floppy. 10/10 as you'd expect from a top tear manufacturer.

2000 GMC Sierra 5.3 LTE Z71 212000 miles... I had a lean code on banks 1 and 2 on cold starts and a lumpy idle... several sites suggested it was a leaking intake manifold gasket...as you can see by the attached picture its likely the original gasket that was leaking...it was filthy with several obvious dirt tracks across the sealing surface... so this was my culprit. It took a lot of cleaning, vacuuming and scraping to get that crap out of there but when done it was glorious (wish I'd taken a picture). Anyway I had to dig the dirt and grease and sand off the bolt heads that the gasket slips over but when done the gaskets "snapped" into place. They are considerably more robust than the GM ones with lots of silicone. After reassembly and checking every fastener 3 or 4 times (I didn't want to go in there again). I was done. I cleared the codes and TADA perfect smooth start and no codes on cold start ... which btw is now -37c. I suggest strongly watching several DIY videos on YouTube.. I wouldn't have even tried without watching several. I'd rate it about a 6 out of 10 on the difficulty scale and a 8 on the testing your patience scale...

Fit on my 5.3 v8. This gasket doesn't mess around, it has thick rubber seals! Fixed the pirate air causing the performance problems, misfires, poor fuel mileage. Installed in a few hours. Did the job myself.
