Turned My Doorway Into a Simple Home Gym
I wanted a way to work on my upper body at home without buying bulky equipment, and this pull-up bar made good use of a doorway that was otherwise doing nothing. The thickened steel construction feels sturdy, and the bar stays secure when it is installed correctly. I appreciate the multiple grip positions because I can change where I place my hands depending on whether I am doing pull-ups, chin-ups, hanging exercises, or simply working on my grip strength. I am still building up to completing more unassisted pull-ups, so I also use it with a resistance band for extra support. It gives me an easy way to practice consistently without needing to visit the gym every time. The padded grips feel comfortable in my hands and help me maintain control during each movement. I also like that the bar is portable and does not require permanent workout equipment taking up space in the room. The listed capacity adds confidence, but I still made sure the doorway was sturdy and followed the installation instructions before putting my full weight on it. This has been a practical yet simple addition to my home fitness setup. It gives me several upper-body workout options, stores easily, and makes it much easier to work on my pull-up strength consistently.

simple and eficient
The Ally Peaks pull up bar is easy to install, seems strong and it comes with instructions that are easy to follow. I had to order a replacement because the first one arrived in a broken box and the screws were missing, but Amazon sent me another immediately. It is practical and easy to remove if needed.

Very happy to have this, exactly what I wanted
Overall, it is totally sufficient for what I need and I am very happy with my purchase. As for feedback, First off, I found the assembly slightly difficult and a video with clear instructions would have been better. Also, buyers beware: you need to make sure your door frame is study enough for this! I live in an apartment that is decent but I have to be careful because I can't tell if my door frame is really sturdy enough or not to hold the weight of me and this contraption. Luckily I am very light (112 lbs) and I don't intend to do hundreds of reps -- but I can see how this would be a problem for a heavier person who intends to do a lot of reps -- that's a lot of strain on the door frame supporting this. Secondly, it doesn't quite sit flush against the wall and door frame -- again, every construction is going to be different. And it makes a squeaking sound that is slightly unnerving about stability (i.e. is the door frame going to give on me... lol). But, like I said, I think any similar contraption will have this same problem because ultimately it is relying on the construction where you live which is a variable the company can't control. So just be aware of this and take reasonable precaution. I would recommend re-enforcing the stability if you are able to modify your home at all (I can't do this as I live in an apartment so can't make modifications to the door frame). It's a little awkward on the sit up use as it doesn't hold my feet to the floor unless I have big shoes and padding on to make my feet bigger -- but again, every body's body is different so some people's feet will be bigger and perhaps too bit (doubtful, there's lots of room). My shoe size is 7 1/2. That all said, I recommend it -- it's a great tool and I love being able to turn my room into a gym like this without a bunch of heavy equipment around. Wonderful, thank you!

Very easy to assemble and very sturdy
Only takes about 10 minutes to put together very solid can easily be slid into a doorway and pulled away in seconds and pull up always a great workout. Does not wobble or seem rickety very solid.

Incredible value for the money
I spent a lot of time comparing doorway pull-up bars before buying this oneโthe expensive ones felt way overpriced, but I was worried the super cheap ones wouldn't be sturdy or safe. I finally settled on a mid-range price, and it turned out to be surprisingly amazing!๐

good for light people
is super easy to install and works for me (120 lbs). Gets a little loose in the hardware after some use, can tighten back up. Would not hold a heavier adult.

Got stronger biceps
If youโre anything like me, you may be wondering three things when looking at chin-up bars: โWill this fit in my door? โIs it strong enough to hold me up? โWill it destroy the molding? Iโll go through each of these points in my review. 1. โWill this fit my door?โ It fits perfectly for a standard interior door with the following dimensions: Door slab width: ~31ยพ" Clear opening between jambs: a bit over 31" Top molding/header depth: just under 3" Total wall + frame thickness: ~7" The bar sits centered on the molding and clears the wall without interference. It can also be used on a narrower door with the following dimensions: Door slab width: a little over 25" Clear opening: ~25" Top molding/header depth: ~3" Total wall + frame thickness: ~5ยฝ" The bar can span this opening, but you wonโt be able to use it for the widest type of grip, because the door frame will be resting on the bar itself, rather than the rubber ends that are supposed to contact the door frame. So useable but with limitations. The bar wonโt fit on doors with oversized molding (~6" high for example). It also wonโt work if there is no molding, because there will be nothing to latch onto. 2. "Is it strong enough to hold me up?" This is rated for 440 pounds, and I never put even half that much weight on it, so definitely havenโt tested this to its limits. For my use, it held up well. When I use the parallel grip the bar flexes more and the door creaks a bit, but nothing has broken. Creaking in general is something that happens when this is used on a door frame for the first time. The more itโs used, the less creaking there will be. The bar comes with a piece of metal designed to be hammered into the molding to help it stay in place. The product pictures donโt show this though. Iโve risked my safety a bit, perhaps, by not installing it, but have been careful enough with my chin-ups to not fall off so far. 3. "Will it destroy the molding?" The bar comes with some rubber pads to put on the molding where it supports the bar ends. I have hardwood molding and havenโt used the pads. There has been no damage to the molding so far. Summary Overall this is a solid product and Iโm happy with how itโs functioned. It lets me do chin-ups at home and is a good balance of being relatively inexpensive but still sturdy enough to use without too much apprehension.

Disappointing
Delivery was a day or so late but the real problem was the item itself. Screws are not long enough- there is a spring loaded locating lug which didnโt line up with the holes, this made the whole thing useless - very disappointing! It had also been delivered and returned to someone else so the packaging was damaged and bodged.

Great pull-up bar!
Very happy with the pull up bar - easy to assemble and does not take up much room. It feels sturdy during use and I have confidence that it won't slip off and cause me damage.
