Great product, still going strong after 5 months
Update (9/17/2022): these are still holding up pretty well 7 years later. My kids are now teenagers and feel food at lunch should be consisted of snacks and the like [insert eye roll]. However, I use these for my everyday use for lunch to work. They are sturdy and still holding up to all the washes in the dishwasher. Please be aware newer products may have changed since when I purchased so this updated review may be a moot point. I purchased this along with the classic. These have been holding up perfectly and I still continue to use these for my kids lunches. I love that it has it's separate compartment for their food and they only have to fuss with one container. I had my 6 year old test it out on opening it and closing as typical Tupperware style containers are hard for little hands to open and close. I've had these for about 5 months not and can say they have been holding up great. I did have one lid chip at the tap part, but other than that, they are still good. The plastic is a lot more durable than those you would purchase in store from a certain brand. I did however, go on a wild chase as to find lunch boxes that would accommodate these beauties and found stand up bags from Target at a reasonable price. I wasn't too keen on the Easy Lunch boxes, and wanted something a little bit more stylish. The ones I purchased at Target (online, since we do not have one close by) were not only stylish, but a lot cheaper than that recommended for these containers. My kids don't have to worry about their lunch all flipped flopped. We have tried to put some sort of liquidy type in these containers and they do not do very well with containing it to what section you add it to. The second biggest compartment fits an applesauce container great. So when I add this, I usually open it up for my 6 year old, just so that teacher has one less child to worry about helping to open stuff. My little one informed me that the teacher would like me to keep it closed due to the fact that it does leak, and that's still with leaving the foil cover on it. I probably have one that is a little bit stained, but that may be due to the fact that my husband started bringing a lunch and may have microwaved this. I highly recommend these containers.

My favorite for kids’ (& adults’) lunches.
These have been the best bento boxes I have found, and I have tried many. The individual compartments are fairly sealed from each other. Enough so that damp fruit will not make bread or crackers soggy. They cannot be filled with liquid, but I feel like that’s just common sense. They are very easy to wash in the dishwasher as well. The lids are very tight when you first get them, and are very difficult for little kids to completely close. You have to push on all four corners very hard until they click. That was the only issue we had at first, however, as we have used them and washed them more, They have gotten easier to close so that my kindergarten can now close them tightly on his own. The portion size of each compartment is also perfect for any age child. It holds enough food for my older kiddo, and I can use silicone cupcake molds to divide up smaller things for my younger kiddo. They also sell a smaller size container with four compartments. That’s great as well. We use them both frequently depending on what is packed for lunch that day. My children have severe food allergies, and these containers have helped us so much to fill their lunches with healthy foods that they can get excited about, and not feel like they’re being left out because of the foods they cannot have. It’s also been really nice to not be using and throwing away 8 to 10 Ziploc bags per day.

Perfect lunch containers!!!!
I purchased these for my sons because the laptop lunch system was just too pricey for us and I couldn't get beyond not liking the idea of the food being turned sideways. These keep food upright and I love the look and getting FOUR for $14. Can't wait to pack their first 1st Grade lunch tomorrow and see how it goes. I have a separate container for dip since it's not leakproof. This is fine for me, and I will use a thermos once soup time comes around. The lunch box to use with these which I also have is roomy enough to fit everything. I will keep you posted on how well they hold up. :) UPDATE: 11/2/12. After a little over 2 months using these every day with my 6 year old twins for their lunches, we are very pleased! We are going to be ordering more as well as the smaller snack/dip containers and two more lunch boxes. The lunch boxes have held up VERY well even washing them on gentle in the washing machine. FABULOUS. We DID have a couple of small breakages, and there was really no cause for this, but it happens from time to time, AND the owner was SO FABULOUS that when I emailed her about it, she replaced the broken items free of charge. It's one thing to make a great product, it's quite another thing to stand behind it when something goes wrong. By doing this, and creating a fantastic lunch system, she has earned my loyalty and she should earn yours too! I cannot imagine packing lunches EVERY day without this system. I can't wait for my hubby and I to get in on the deal too, and we still plan on using a thermos for soup. They open well, and my kids LOVE them. I am going to decorate their lunchboxes soon though so they look "cool". Thank you SO MUCH for a fabulous product and fabulous customer service.

Love these!
I have been searching for a year for the perfect lunchbox. My son and husband are gluten free so I pack around a lot of food. They also have super fast metabolisms and eat a lot more then the normal person, so when we go out for the day I pack food enough for 6 people even though there are only 4 of us! I was sick of zipper bags, wrong sized containers, and losing things in the diaper bag. I came across these and knew I had finally found the right ones! I ordered 2 sets of containers and 2 cooler bags. I can fit my husband's lunch for work into the cooler along with extras like yogurt cups and fruit. He loves the smaller side containers because the pickles for his sandwiches can be separate. Sounds like a small deal, but pickles make a sandwich soggy if you put them on the night before! For my kids I love all the separate compartments in each container because I can pack multiple snacks. I can also be assured that all the gluten free snacks for my son are separate from things only his sister can eat. Customer service is AMAZING. I pulled a lid off one container and a small piece from the bottom broke off. Possibly a stress fracture from shipping. I emailed customer service and within the hour Kelly Lester, mom & CEO emailed me back offering a free replacement piece shipped to my door as well as tips for how to make them last as long as possible. They are definitely not flimsy take and toss pieces, and they do NOT discolour or warp in the dishwasher (2 things I hate about plastic containers). They are heat resistant enough that they can even go on the bottom of the dishwasher! I love the cooler size, 3 containers fit easily, or 2 plus extras. The lids, although not leakproof, offer quite a good seal. Enough that you don't worry about one compartment's food tasting like the others! If you're on the hunt for lunchboxes I would recommend giving these a try. They are not so costly that you would strangle your kids (or husband lol) for losing them, but at the same time they are not cheapo ones that you would toss out on purpose for a long time! All in all I'm very happy with my purchase and with the follow up customer service!

Great for school lunches
Kids have liked these! I like how o can put yogurt in and it won’t fly all around the container. The compartments are a good size. Easy for my kids to get open and closed, dishwasher safe, no smell detected, and kids approve! Wins all around

Awesome!
Okay, I have never reviewed anything on Amazon, even though I am somewhat addicted to reading amazon reviews... This product is fantastic. I bought these last March when I realized that we were going through boxes and boxes of ziploc bags. I wanted to find a way to reduce and reuse, but also to add variety to my children's lunches. My daughter has numerous food allergies, so finding lunch options that are nutritious and travel well is sometimes a problem. I love these because I lay them out of the counter and I can easily pack three lunches with fresh fruits and veggies. I started using them myself, and my coworkers always comment on my "fancy lunches". There is something comforting about having all the food in front of you, like on a plate at home. (Not to sound like a "helicopter mom", but I also like seeing what they DIDN'T eat for lunch, since they just snap the lid back on and bring it home. Then I have a better idea of what not to send the next day.) After having the product for about 2 weeks, one of the corners cracked. I was really annoyed! I read the website's return policy, and it stated that you can only return unopened items. I took a picture of the cracked container and sent a huffy email to easylunchboxes.com. Kelly, the owner of the company, promptly wrote me back! (And nicely, despite my huffy attitude.) She said that if I send her a copy of the receipt, she would gladly send me a replacement. And she did! I was SO THRILLED with the customer service. I am also glad to say that I besides the one that broke, no other pieces have cracked since I bought them in early March. We have used them on a daily basis. I know they also sell lunchboxes to hold the boxes. I prefer the neoprene kind that is machine washable. The easy lunchbox fits easily into that kind of lunchbox and they also stay upright. I plan on buying more for next school year, just to have more in the rotation. (I haven't experienced leaks with runny items. In fact, we pack dairy-free yogurt in there for my daughter, because she is only in kindergarten and has a difficult time opening the yogurt by herself.)
