Works grate and was a lot cheaper than the 200 dollars the repair man wanted. I installed this myself but recommend using a qualified installer!

This is a great device if shut down of large appliances is needed when running a genny that will not support the load. Install was very straight forward and easy to understand and do. Have a 11kw generac house backup gen, recently installed a heat pump and the genny was not able to keep up to the demand. Works perfectly for a year now with multiple power outages.

Dryer GENERAC relay went bad. Same replacement. Worked great and saved more than half the money of the last time it went bad and back up generator installer fixed it. All the modules are terribly made. Too hot all the time. Maybe make the housing with vents all over. Hey this works and saves money of someone else doing it.

The Generac 7000 50 Amp transfer switch is an excellent investment if you want reliability, high capacity, and peace of mind during a power outage.

The five stars is also how easy it is to swap out the top board. Took about 5 min. to swap out the top board. Total job with waiting the delay for ac to come back on was about 15 min. Diagnostics previous day was probably about 15 min to see the light wasn't on and check for power at the incoming connections. If it was hot we would have jumpered around the unit until the new board came. They should sell these boards separately considering how often they go out based on the other reviews. This is our first failure and it was at about 3 yrs since install. 1st pic. old board with burn mark on the back of it. 2nd pic. front of old board where you can see dark area around likely failed component.
