It's easy to install and backup camera is easy to see. Sound is clear but not very loud. Touch screen is not very responsive and I have to touch it more than once to do what I wanted to do. Because of that I use the buttons most of the time. Bluetooth don't work properly as I had to pair it 3 times now and it don't work after I turn of the car. I kept it because it don't have a shiny screen and lights and because I didn't want to take my dash apart again.

Installed in my 2006 Ford Escape. Pefect fit with a little trimming behind the cover. -Connected the brake sensor to the radio ground cable to enable the video function. -Illumination signal wire does in fact dim the radio when the headlights are on and you can change the intensity in the settings for each setting. -Calibrating the touchscreen in the settings made it way more responsive. -The radio A-Link app isnt available in the Play Store, you'll need to scan the QR code to get it. Requires the USB to be connected and it mirrors your phone screen. Overall its a quite great radio with simple features.

*It didn't last much more than a month. The unit would turn on, show the Boss logo on the screen and then it would go blank. The touch screen wouldn't function, rendering the entire unit useless. No amount of resetting worked... no help from customer support... none of the online user experiences helped. I followed the best advice I was given and threw it away, bought a Kenwood for about $20 more than I paid for the Boss. Problem solved. ...original review...... Easy to install and easy to operate. Sounds decent with the stock speakers already in the car. Not bad for the money, but after a few days I was wishing I'd spent a little bit more and got a better unit. Why? Well the clock is pretty bad. How hard is it to make a clock keep good time, especially when it has a constant power source? Every couple of days, or so, the time is so far off that you have to re-set it. Not very hard to do, but why should you even have to? The touch screen works fine but after awhile it starts to look very plain as there are very few options available to customize it. The biggest pain was with the USB port. Anytime I had left a USB stick plugged into the unit and shut everything off, it stayed off. The unit wouldn't even power up. It required a reset and this unit has no reset button (other Boss models do) so that meant either disconnecting the car battery or removing the Boss unit and unplugging the wiring harness to reset the unit. Not fun! Now I just use Bluetooth and leave the USB alone and that works perfectly. Bottom line, it sounds better than I would have thought, but a decent clock and a proper reset button would have been nice.

The unit was working good sound wise. The touch screen was laggy and it felt like dragging a finger inside thick porridge but it was excusable because the sound was okay in my friend's Toyota Corolla. I did the install myself then two months later it shows a white screen and + sign in the middle. This is a touch calibration prompt any device with a touch screen has that feature to determine the integrity of the screen. Now here comes a painful one, You do the normal calibrations by touching the corners where the + sign moves and after that most devices reset to normal working order. This stereo does not reset itself to working order it merely is stuck to the white screen and after starting the car the menu is back but the touch works only in one point on the screen and then doesn't work again till you start the power again. What pisses me off is the fact that even the hidden reset button meant to reset the unit to factory default does not work. Now I have to assume that since all units from Boss share this interface the results are same with a $100 unit or $500 unit. If it goes crazy on you no one can help you maybe a Refund or Warranty..why cant we be able to flash a new firmware on these units? that would make it easier to deal with software/firmware problems. If you can make it and it has a flash drive port or a memory card slot devicing an update method would take a dev team a week maximum to make firmware flashing interface and have it installed on the individual units. When I purchase a unit and it has a problem I'd just head to the manufacturer's website and DL the firmware and flash it to the damaged/misbehaving unit..Easy. But with quality a capitalist world would fail or so I've heard!! Aargh!!

I'm pleased with it enough, that I bought a second one for the other car based on my experience. It's not perfect by no means. Quality of screen is not as good as my android phone and i'm not sure i have any good use for the A-link. Its OK for DVD, but bluish picture and not sure how to adjust. Good for backup camera. Sound is much better than stock base toyota HU. Sometimes bluetooth doesn't automatically pair up and i have to cycle it on my phone. Radio is strong and clear, but there is no station/song description. I assumed it was standard on the newer HU? The 3 year warranty is reassuring in case it doesn't do well with heat and vibrations. The stock toyota HUs started acting up after 10 years or so, but i don't expect this to be that durable. Update after a couple of weeks of use: I started seeing the random glitches other people noticed. Like volume raising itself by a point from time to time, Bluetooth losing connection while streaming (going to radio and back to streaming helps sometimes), and i had the radio reset itself once when i listened with engine off and then starting engine. I guess i need to remember to avoid that. I lowered the rating a bit due to that.

I like how it fits in the stock trim on my 2004 Subaru Outback without needing any trimming to make it fit. I always seem to be happy with BOSS stereos in all my cars. I've tried Sony and a few other brands but never had such a good experience as I do with BOSS systems. The only weird thing I've noticed is it will randomly turn its own volume up as if I was to spin the knob, but it's very rare and only goes up slightly. It doesn't happen often enough to really care about it, on like a 2hr car drive it'll happen maybe once or twice.

Ok this Boss replaced the original stereo in our 2011 Catalina Coachman. Taking old one out and reinstalling new one took 38 minutes . Sound quality much better than original plus Bluetooth capable makes it even better. You cannot find the original stereo to that year so listen y’all, it will replace original RV stereos. Price is awsome too!

Works great so far, just installed it 2 days ago. I wish the contacts would stay in the radio after syncing it. As soon as you cycle the power all your contacts phone numbers and such disappear. "If there is a way please let me know". All and all a decent radio for the price. Did half to pull the fuse and put it back in to get the radio to power on every time I unplugged the harness. Installed in a 1999 Ford F-250 Super Duty. Not the light duty truck that looks like a F-150 body.

Very high resolution and vibrant screen for a cheap double din, good sound quality and feels well built. Bluetooth connection is strong and audio is clear. True double din size so it will fit in metra/Scosche/etc dash kits without any modifications. Great stereo for the price just be aware of no DVD player.

Le radio est fait de bonne qualité, mais c'est limite. Le plastique n'est pas le meilleur, mais c'est mieux que les produits plus cheap. L'écran est belle, mais n'as pas d'anti-reflet. Le manuel est trop simpliste et manque d'informations technique sur l'installation, il faut avoir une base en électronique/électricité. Les câbles ont été de la même couleur que l'adapteur pour la voiture. Le Bluetooth avec la musique marche, j'ai pas encore fait d'appel par contre. Le mode "A-Link" marche, mais pas totalement le touch. Je dois encore faire des tests. Il n'est pas compatible avec Android Auto, il faut utiliser leur application. La lecture sur carte SD est rapide. La porte pour accéder aux SD/AUX/USB n'est pas à charnière et donne l'impression qu'ont la brisé quand on tente de l'ouvrir. 3 Entrées vidéos; 1x Arrière, 1x Avant et 1x In (DVD like), une sortie vidéo. Il faut savoir que le lecteur vient avec une protection contre la lecture de vidéo durant le fonctionnement du véhicule, sauf si le mode "Parking/Brake" est activé. Ceci fait que toutes les entrées, incluant celle de la caméra de recul n'est pas actif et est bloqué par le radio. Le message d'erreur n'est pas très explicite sur le sujet. Il faut impérativement connecter le câble identifié à ce sujet. SI VORE VÉHICULE NE POSSÈDE PAS DE SENSOR COMPATIBLE, il faudra faire un ByPass matériel. J'aurais préférer éviter mais c'est le seul moyen de le faire. Il faut connecter le câble de "Parking Input" sur le "Ground". Mais faites cela que si votre véhicule ne prend pas en charge ce senseur. Un démarrage un peu lent, mais bon, mon objectif était d'écouter la musique de mon téléphone e voir ma caméra de recul avec un minimum de câbles et de chose sur le tableau de bord, ce qui est réussi. J'ai aussi penser sortir des câbles identifié pour utiliser sur demande l'entrée vidéo auxiliaire et la sortie vidéo, si des fois une situation l'exige. La qualité du son semble très bonne, l'équaliseur de bandes marche bien, l'écran touche n'est pas évident pour l'ajustement. La sortie des haut-parleurs d'origine sont de 15W sur mon véhicule, je dois donc faire attention au volume.
