Your actions each round are simple and everyone starts with the same options. As the game goes one though you need to balance everything, resources, economy, area control.... "Oh geez I just need another brick to build there but wait I want to move to a new region. Wait I don't have enough money to do that". Fun and balanced but will take a few plays to get a good understanding. A personal favourite

Concordia can be taught in less than 10 minutes and a game can be played in 90 minutes, but to play well is difficult, and to play it perfectly, near impossible. It's my number one game and I'm always looking to bring it to the table.

Gave this gift to a fan of Catan and found this game to be a great mix of Catan/ticket to ride/7 wonders. It was easy enough to feel like we had a decent idea of what we were doing after watching a tutorial and reading the directions, and fun with that we wanted to play again right away. Feels like this will be our go to game for the foreseeable future.
