Engaging and Fun
Great purchase! Fun game to play with my grandson. It has just enough complexity to make it engaging and fun for my five year-old. The game are short - 15-20 minutes - and fun for the adults, too. Well constructed, nice wooden pieces, great artwork. A happy find.

Great supplement to learn and chat about prehistoric people for early childhood
Great intro to strategy for kids. We already love Carcassonne Junior so this seemed a great idea. We have over 20 board games and I play them often with my now 6 year old as part of his homeschool day. Its amazing what kids learn playing games (pictionary was the catalyst to read, Skipbo for number sequencing, and many others). We received this one (my son actually chose to buy it out of money he earned) just as we were covering nomads and early farmers in our Ancient history text (The Story of the World Volume 1: Ancient Times). The timing was perfect as we had discussions about all the resources. I could tell he was internalizing the information in a way he would not with just the text, workbook, and even a video we had added. Great supplement and fun too! I will say that this game will probably only be fun for a couple of years before he will be ready to play the adult version labled 13 and up. For now we are very pleased. The price was steep for a board game, but it is very high quality and we can sell it when we are done to another homeschool family. Before we ordered it, we watched a great review of the game on the dice towet on you tube so we knew what we were getting.

Good Introductory Game of Chance
Bought as a Christmas present for our 5 year old. Game style was a race to the finish type game. It was easy to learn, and the game mostly relied on luck, so there was minimal strategy involved (we liked this for him because strategy can sometimes be frustrating to him/hard to independently grasp at this age). Pieces were big, easy to grasp for his little hands, and the artwork was well done and engaging for him. Game play was about 15 minutes, just as described on the box. Overall a good game for a 5 year old to be able to play fairly independently. One star off, however, because I imagine he will grow out of this game fairly quickly, and it is not a board game that would hold the attention of our 8 year old, so not a great family game night board game.

Great kids game.
This is my preschoolers favorite game. Great introduction to resource management. Nice big manipulatives. He's three and was able to understand how to play before he could put together a full sentence. At the same time I think it's far better than most preschooler games that I usually feel like I have to suffer through. ( I can't stand dexterity games) Big brothers are happy to play it with him when he lets them. Neighbor kids from non-gamer families seem happy with it up to 8 yrs old.

Fun and dumb game
This is closer to a memory game than a strategic one. But itโs very easy to learn and play. If youโre looking for a game to play with young kids this is gold.

Nicely done--good kid version of full game
We have the full Stong Age as well and love it. This junior version is equally fun. My 5 year old caught on right away, and the adults enjoy it just as much. We did make one modification. Everyone remembered where the "build" token was placed and tracked it even when moved according to the game rules. Instead, we now shuffle all action tokens after someone builds to make the game more challenging/fun.

Highly recommended. Great game.
This is a great game to introduce children to a slightly more complicated type of game play. The piece are large and chunky (unlike most resources in adult games). The game play involves remembering where tiles are (great for practicing memory and recall) to flip them over to move to the space to get the resources needed to buy huts. Great gateway game for young children into a more Euro style game. Highly recommended.

Perfect for my five year old.
I like that this game introduces some strategy and is simple enough for the very little children to really grasp and enjoy. I love how the instructions include a story. I think it's a pretty unique game for this age group. Stone Age was one of my favorite games and is one of the games responsible for drawing me into the world of strategy games so I was excited to try this one out with my kids. I don't remember what ages it says it's for, but I would say it's really geared toward ages 4-7, depending on the kid My seven year old likes it but is already capable of much more challenging games. It's a bit too much for my three year old, who will sit and play Candy Land or Sequence Jr or some cooperative games. It's perfect for my five year old. It's a very simple introductory game, which is exactly what I was hoping for. I have a lot of games my seven year old likes that are beyond my five year old's ability to grasp. It doesn't make me cringe when my kids ask me to play with them, like some other preschool games do. But it's also not as fun as, say, Catan Jr, for an adult.

Great family game!
Purchased this for grandchildren ages 7 and 9. Even the 4 year-old could play if teamed up with grandma or grandpa. We enjoyed multiple games over the Christmas holidays. Games last 15-30 minutes with no one getting bored. Players can learn strategy for acquiring the items necessary to build a settlement. There is also a memory game component. Fun for kids and adults!

Just has fun as the real deal
This is more like a memory game in my opinion but still a big hit with the 5 year olds :)

Fabulous Game
Delivery time was longer than expected but the game was in perfect condition and we love playing it, ages 6 up are enjoying it. so far we have played every day! Very well designed game for the family. Keeps you interested and engaged. Highly reccomend it. Price on amazon was better than high street. The pieces in this game are nicely designed and large for small hands. Play time is short around ten minutes. We have added in our own twist where when the build coin is turned over instead of just switching two coins as per the rules we reshuffle all coins so no one has an idea where the build coin is. Love this game, will get adult version at some stage.

Fun easy to play the whole family will love.
If you have kids. This is the game you want. So much fun for the younger kids. We have stoneage and my boys love it. But it is a longer game. Thos game is quick and very simple to play but creates alot of laughs. So worth purchasing for my boys.
