For Auto/ATV CV Joint Axle Boot Clamp Pliers Tool with 20 Crimp Bands -Ear Type Extension For Most Cars

The bands are ok but much thinner than the original factory ones. Although they seem to hold very well. The tool itself works, but is not sturdy at all and didnt really fit the clamps very well, It kept slipping off and I really had to put pressure on it to get it to grab. I opted for using a nipper instead.

I purchased this clamp tool to clamp the cv boot on my Honda side by side. The clamps supplied are lighter than the ones supplied by the cv manufacturer but the clamp supplied clamps actually clamped when installed, unlike the cv supplied ones. The price was reasonable and the clamp seems to be well made. I would purchase again.

Tool is fairly low quality, but okay for occasional use. Didn't include a good size clamp for the front driveshaft boot on my truck, which was the reason for the purchase, but was able to cut one down and make it work.

Yes it’s $20. The tool is going to feel cheap. Just be careful with it. I was in a pinch and no where local had clamps that were big enough for my cv axle. A day later this was at my door and I’m back on the road.

Absolute disappointment. If I could give this tool negative stars, I would. I wasted over an hour trying to get it to work, only to end up with sore hands and zero results. As shown in the photo, the center section sits far too high, with no way to adjust it down. When you try to squeeze the "ears," the tool simply slips off instead of doing its job. It's hard to believe anyone actually tested this product before putting it on the market.

The pincher are a lil small , if I don't have someone hold the clamp in position , while I haft to use two hands to squeeze the hold down clamps so it makes it very hard to do by urself .

Excellent tool; but jaws have to be ground in the shape of a dull stone chisel to work absolutely beautiful. Bands are fine and hold very well. The jaws are punched and the punched edges are "as is" and I expect they would not work well w/o grinding the edges to a proper shape.

Delivery time was awesome 👍 as it is ATV rally season in Canada 🇨🇦 I am repairing alot of broken, cracked cv axle boots on both quads and ATV’s. I found that the OEM boot clamps to be very expensive and of not great quality so I purchased the Alpha Rider cv boot clamp kit and found the cv boot clamps were better than OEM quality but found the clamp pliers to be a bit flimsy and I don’t believe they would last. luckily I have a a good pair and I would highly recommend this product 👍👍👍

Ring bands worked well on sealing both inner and outer CV boot ends. Ultimately I used a different set of pliers to compress the cinch band clasp (Channellock End Cutting Plier). The cinching tool feels like it is made of a soft steel. It would get the job done, but it just feels cheap. What matters most is that the bands properly tighten around whatever needs to be cinched - and that they do.

Better than most cv boot clamps I have come across , not alot of effort to figure it out . But sometimes they cri.p a little uneven , but still hold good , could be user error on my part though .
