I like this container a lot. It seals airtight and keeps out bugs (unlike my previous container) but is easy to open. Only complaint is that it is hard to get the last bits of kibble out of it since there are lots of bumps and ridges. Easily holds contents of 25lb bag with room to spare.

The first time I bought a Vittles Vault was not to keep rodents out of the food, but rather one of my dogs. I got up in the morning and that guy had enjoyed such a feast during the night I thought he was going to pop. After a discussion with the vet, it was determined that he was going to live, but that I needed a better storage option. I checked out all the containers Amazon had to offer and hit on the 50-pound capacity Vittles Vault. It was absolutely perfect. At that point in time I had two dogs on the same food, but now with one pup and an older dog, their diets are different. I decided to purchase another Vittle Vault of a lesser capacity. This Vittles Vault is more decorative with paws, a raised design, on all sides. It has sunken in handles all around so no matter which way I grab it I have a grip. It's ant and critter proof, something I really like. We do have a seasonal ant "crop" and they do enjoy dog food. The top spins shut, keeping the food very fresh. I don't believe these Vaults are meant to be stacked, but once I put the food in the smaller one, it was fine on top of my larger one. I'm a bit fan of Vittles Vaults and the high quality is definitely worth the asking price whether you are using them for dog food or bird seed. Nice and durable. The lid is easy to turn to open and close. I didn't like closing the large dry food with a clip or zip tie thinking it would go stale quickly. This is a perfect size for 16lb bags of food for my 2 cats. If it only came with a little scooper would have been nice though.

I picked this up to store our dog’s food, and it’s been a really solid upgrade from using the original bag. Good product. Keeps food fresh. My only glitch is that it doesn't hold 35lbs of dog food. I buy a 33lb bag of Hills Science dog food and it doesn't hold the whole bag. I would recommend sizing up to the 50lb storage container. Better to have more space than not enough. I will say that this size container holds 22lbs of cat food perfectly.

Purchased for storing pup food. Placed in kitchen island slide out cabinet. Pull out drawer and the container top easily opens with good grip sections. Seal is tight to keep food fresh. Like the handles on all 4 sides to lift. No assembly required, other than washing it before placing food. Appears very durable to last for many years. I have not transported, but I believe would be easy to do with the built in handles. Highly recommend for pup food storage! And did I mention, the cute design of paw prints on the container!!

I have a 5 month old German shepherd puppy and he’s my fourth. I’ve used Rubbermaid 2-3 gal containers for years and they always keep my Orijen food fresh and as expensive as Orijen is that was important. However my Rubbermaid containers were starting to show their age not to mention it would take 2 1/2 of them for 25 lbs of food. I went shopping for new ones and of course now they are $36 each . NOT! This container takes the whole bag and then some , keeps the food fresh and easy to use. This is a win!!!

Who would write a review about dog food containers- anyone who buys expensive good quality bulk dog food - this container is brilliant- seals super well- built really solid - and sq shape takes up less room . Love it!

Absolutely perfect! Fits a full 12kg bag of food with room at the top. The screw on lid prevents your house from smelling like dog food and it keeps the food fresh. There are handles on all four sides that allow you to easily pick up the container. I would highly recommend this to everyone with pets. Small tip, when it is delivered it has a slight smell to it from manufacturing. Clean it our with soapy water, rinse and allow to air dry before placing food in it.

The lid is easy to open, and it makes scooping food quick and mess-free. It looks neat in my kitchen and feels sturdy and reliable — honestly one of my favorite pet purchases ever. Highly recommend to any dog owner!
