SANOXY USB Lan Network Adapter Cable Compatible for gaming consoles

This is the most reliable and cheapest way to hook up your wii to the internet and gurantee flawless connection. And I've tried a few.1-This LAN adapter hooked to your router - 100% reliable but requires a cable hookup. (and it's ugly)2-Wi-Fi using wireless router - Comes in second only because it can get interference.3-House Wiring LAN - This is where you plug a box in a wall socket near your router and wire it to the router, then plug in another box ANYWHERE in or around the house (on the same breaker-box)and wire it to the LAN adapter I am reviewing. Cannot beat this at ALL. This method comes in third because it's so darned expensive.4-Nintendo wi-fi USB connector - This was OK before I had a wireless router or the LAN adapter. It had one room range and shut itself off daily. (does anybody need one? not sure if they make these anymore)So I give this a 4 because I have option 3 and you can take your wii to the treehouse with a 5000 foot extension cord if you want to.

I was skeptical about buying these but worked right out of the box.Only one issue: I have the homebrew channel and the media player I am using is Mplayer CE and it does not work when the internet cable is connected to this unit. If I disconnect the internet cable Mplayer CE works fine even with adapter connected to the WII. This is really bad because I bought 2 of these to do exacly that: stream my movie using a wired connectio.For now I will give 5 stars assuming Mplayer CE is at fault.It turns out the issue was with the usb hard drive with more than one partition. After I deleted one of the partition Mplayer CE works perfectly allowing me to stream my movie from my pc using the wired connection.

This product is pretty cool. It hooks up easy to the Wii. Plugs right in to the back of the Wii. I bought a 25' long cord for the internet that hooks right up to it. Now i can do internet stuff on my tv in the living room instead of using my small computer in the other room. I was able to pull up my wedding pictures from my email, and look at them in a big screen to show everyone.

I purchased the USB LAN Adapter for my Wii so I could get a more stable connection for Netflix streaming. My router is located upstairs in the farthest room away from the Wii, so I had problems losing the connection while streaming Netflix shows. This adapter was the cheapest one on Amazon at the time I purchased it, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I haven't been disappointed. The setup is fairly painless, you just plug it in and change the connection settings in the Wii menu to Wired. After that, I had no problems with the buffering of my Netflix shows to the Wii. I would highly recommend this product.

I think the device is OK, but for some reason the wii would not connect with the usb lan adapter connected to the Ethernet cable. After turning my modem off and back on, the wii started to work through the wireless connection. I would rather use the ethernet cable, it would be faster, so maybe I'll try again some day.

Your Wii literature warns against using a LAN network adapter not made by Nintendo to connect your Wii to your local network. When I first connected my Wii using this adapter and it didn't work I thought I had just tossed $10 down the drain. After I rechecked all my connections and found one loose, I reconnected and everything worked just fine. This adapter doesn't have quite the classy exterior of the Nintendo design but it works satisfactorily. Why pay more?

I used it to watch NetFlix on my wii. I may had to plug and start back up my cable router a couple times though its simple to hook up. All I had to do is connect, test, and update on my wii.

This puppy is ugly but who cares as it sits in the back with all that other ugly stuff.The best part about this thing is the price, under 11 bucks.This thing really works and for the price I don't care how ugly it is.
