This tiny gadget removed instantly the daily frustration of a door that refused to latch unless I took the extra time. A second door to the outside, if not closed completely allowed wild bears to enter so this is also solved a security issue. Though small, this closer is strong enough to close the door without any effort on my part. It's kind of like having a doorman.It installed very quickly and easily. About two minutes. This invention should win a prize.

Worked on light weight door, not heavy exterior. But that being said, great at keeping my pantry door closed after the kids are in/out of it all day. It’s powerful enough to close it back each time. And the spring works perfectly. Durable enough to not break and need replaced and instructions were clear in installation

I have a small hall closet that my family constantly keeps open. It has become an annoyance as I am the only one constantly closing this door. It is also an eyesore when I walk through the front door because it is wide open and you can see into the abyss of mess of shoes in the closet. I saw a similar gadget on YouTube and quickly came to Amazon for my search.This product was quick and easy to install and works as promised. The only downside is that it doesn’t completely close the door but that may be due to how the door is installed. I installed it closer to the door than what’s pictured and it still didn’t close my door all the way. I did start to hear squeaking noise but along with my usual home bustle, you can’t really hear it and it doesn’t really bother me.Such a great solution for a small problem!

What an affordable (and easy install) way to make sure the bathroom door stays closed. Would buy again and might just for the front and/or back door. You can adjust it to avoid slamming so that's great.

They need to be installed by a person with a brain or else they make a bad squeak/metal sound. Strong enough for doors bigger than they say but not by much. Not micro-adjustable enough to adjust between slamming the door and being annoying with packages, and it closes the door but not enough to properly latch. Great for interior doors, or small outside doors, but anything that is heavy or tightly sealed will have issues.

If you have small children, get this door closer. We have a door leading to the basement and the stairs is very steep. It's a very dangerous situation with small children. They can accidentally fall down the stairs.Now that our grandson is walking, we didn't want to take any risk with him accidentally falling down the stairs. This product is low cost, super easy to install, and best of all, works very well. It sure beats yelling at your husband to remind him to close the door and that is certainly not a reliable way to solve the problem. The door is closed completely if you adjust the tension correctly. You can adjust the tension by picking the hole to screw in the rod in the appropriate hole. The installation instruction is not very well written but you can figure it out how it works. I would recommend that you do not plug in the holes with white plugs after installation per the instruction. The reason is if you plug in all the open holes, you can't make any adjustment to the tension. Also, save the steel rod for later use if you have to adjust the tension. If you lose it, just use a screw driver instead. This door closer is small and less intrusive than more expensive devices in the market.

There has been a recent change in quality control that makes these unusable for us. I've bought 4 total in the last 3 years. The first two in 2023, and more recently Feb & Mar 2026. The first two have been perfect. Easy installation, and excellent at keeping our bedroom doors closed (smooth and quiet). We needed to add a closer to another bedroom door, so I bought the 3rd door closer in February. *clank clank plink plink clank clunk* vaguely describes the noise coming from the springs every time the door opens and closes. Very disruptive for a bedroom. Assuming it was defective, I bought a replacement. Same issue. Still too loud. Very disappointed since the first two have been highly reliable. I'm moving on to other similar products from other vendors to get door #3 working. If you choose to move ahead, I'll cross my fingers for you. Hopefully you will get better versions of what we got in this most recent round.

Will latch a light interior door if you let it swing closed. Does what it is designed for.

Its nice strong and super finish but you have very poor control on the closing speed, it has just 1 speed CLOSE only either it closes slowly but will not complete the mission or smash your door and complete the mission... I am using it on my gate aluminum door it gives a big smash i need to look rubber stickes to reduce the smash.. I needed the conventional one but it did not fit my space

As others have noted, It lacks the force to close a door completely and is very noisy after a day or two. The answer for the noise is to remove the single screw at the bottom of the barrel and open the device up, fill each spring housing with a dollop of grease and reassemble. No more horrible spring noises. While you're at it, adding a little grease to your door latch might complete the closing action.
