Eyelid Primer

i bought three of these for VERY CHEAP off of amazon- 60 cents for three! the texture when i first got it was a little chunky/creamish but after i swished the applicator thing a few times it became more creamy. the color might look a bit strange at first (it appeared orange when i opened the bottle!) but after i blended it out on my hand to test it out it looked fine. the color actually appeared more pale on my eyelids (i have asian yellow skin that has a slight cool pink tone)I do not have the urban decay primer potion, but i will probably not buy it because this does a great job of making the eyeshadow stay! i used l'oreal infallible eyeshadow in amber rush and the result was beautiful!Pros:-cheap cheap cheap!-adequate amount of product for the money-creamish texture, goes on eyes easily-dries nicely-holds eyeshadows SUPERBLY-eyeshadow will not budge after applied!!-no weird smell-does not make eyeshadow ball up on applicationCons:-doe foot applicator might be a pain for some people-weird color at first-might reduce the shimmery quality of some eyeshadows, as it did with the infallible amber rush i used, but the difference was minimalFinal verdict-This eyelid primer is wonderful. It goes on smoothly and makes my eyeshadow last all day without touch-ups. I did have a slight problem with creasing after about 6 hours, but it was minimal. The shimmer quality of some eyeshadows might be reduced a TINY bit, but with matte eyeshadows this works WONDERFULLY.If the price for 1 bottle of this primer exceeds $1 on amazon.com, go to target to buy!

I re-order this from here, the ELF site, or online when I get my groceries - this is the best primer for your budget. The only complaint I have is that I inevitably have to remove the reducer neck in it or I stop being able to get enough product on the applicator, and then once the reducer is removed it is BLOBBY - however, by just dabbing it on my finger instead of trying to apply directly, it's fine. It's the curse of packaging styles, I guess. Overall, this lasts me 8-12 hours of wear with BRIGHT eyeshadows and heavy eyeliners, in Florida heat, and doesn't get creased or fade.

Lasted long, and didn’t crease

Let me say first that this is a pretty good product. I think it keeps my makeup in place and looking good all day. I have used it before, and picked it up because I was looking for a less expensive option than Urban Decay or Tarte. I do consider the products pretty close quality wise, but went through the elf product a LOT faster than the higher end options . I'm not sure how they compare volume wise. I think this tube is smaller overall, which may put it at the same price per ounce as the higher end options. If I'm wrong, I'm still using a tube of the elf a lot faster, so I didn't find the elf option as good a value for my money. Hope this helps.

So there's a dilemma with my product. While I DO in fact love it, I am utterly upset with Amazon! Over priced!!! For someone like me, who just knows the basics about makeup, I honestly thought that (since being an E.L.F. product) that the price was right. Well, it's not. IT ACTUALLY COST ***LESS*** MONEY than what you would pay buying this eyelid primer on Amazon. You might think "$4 dollars isn't much" but how would you feel it you found out you had just purchased this amazing stuff and little did you know you could of gotten it for $1 on their website.Message me for the link.It's THE exact one for dollars less!Ok, now to move on to the actual experience: Like many, I watched Youtube videos on makeup tutorials and have been raving about this eyelid primer from E.l.f. I read some reviews (on here and from the youtube channels) and was hooked. Now, I noticed that none had actually mentioned the price on the product, (which is why I thought Amazon's $4.00 was correct) but soon felt ripped off when come to find out it's one measly little dollar, as opposed to Amazon`s price. Anyway, when my packaged arrived at the doorstep I quickly opened it up and began playing with my primer and my e.l.f. 100 shades palette. I found it rather thick at first.. almost like concealer, which I did not like. That is all I have to say so far. I will play around with it some more and keep you guys updated(:

This has been my favorite primer for about 3 years now. I have really oily skin, which includes my eyelids. I put this on and let it dry for about a minute before I put on eyeshadow and it stays put for hours and hours. I definitely recommend this product if you find your eyeshadow sliding around, or sinking into your crease before you even get halfway through the day. By the end of my workday my makeup looks almost as fresh as it did when I put it on. I've tried 4 other brands of lid primer (high end and drugstore brands) and this one is always the one I come back to.I believe this product would also work well for people who have normal to moderately oily skin as well, as it works well for me in the winter when my skin is dryer without making my lids flaky or crepey. If you have dry skin, then I don't know if you would even need this product, or if it might dry you out more.

This product is amazing and as always I LOVE using e.l.f products. I love purchasing everything of theirs. It goes on smoothly and easy, and its great especially if you have oily eyelids like I get at times. I usually apply this and wait about 5 minutes to give it time to dry before I apply any eye makeup. But after that, the eye makeup applies smoothly and lasts so much longer and the colors seem to be more vivid and pop more. And given that my eyelids are oily and I sweat, I don't lose my eye makeup with this on, and it can last for hours. I've not had to reapply this multiple times, so I'd say it lasts quite a long time. And for the price, you just can't not have this in your makeup bag. I order this every chance I get, and trust me I've tried every kind of eyelid primer out there and this is the only one that's worked the best for me.
