I have used silicon pot holders for several years now and really like them. These are a plus. They are well made, even thickness, super heat resistant and uniform in color. They came in multiple colors, This time I chose round and black because I wanted to use them under potted plants as a buffer between the pot and the paint on the window ledge. They are the perfect size and do not detract from the pot of flower color of the plants. They seem to protect my window ledge well just as they do my countertops and table from the heat of pans coming right from the stovetop or the oven. Really nice, won't fray or become tattered with use and unless you do something super exceptionally hot I doubt the silicon will melt.

I had one of these included in an Instapot accessories kit and loved it so much I went to Amazon to see if I could find another one and found this set of 4. We recently upgraded our counters and backsplash to black and patterened dark Quartz and these work great to cushion hot pots and coffee mugs and so on.
