What type of prep do you have to do before installing? I wonder how long these will last? years?

Minimal prep, just wipe down and clean area before installation. Only been a few weeks since installation so not sure how long it will last, but you will be pleased with product looks great.

Will this fit a 2016 CX-5?

I don't believe it will. As it says it will fit the years 2017 & 2018. 2017 the CX-5 was redesigned. Good luck.

I live in Arizona the vehicle is out in extreme heat. How will these hold up in high sun and heat?
