NOW Solutions, Lanolin, For Rough Dry Skin, 7 oz

I never knew about lanolin until I started searching for products to help soften my feet and my boyfriend's lips. I have used so many things and some worked a little bit but I have never been completely satisfied with the results. Well I decided to try this pure lanolin because I love other products this brand sells and I couldn't be happier with the results! 1st of all the price is great!! You don't need a lot so it will last awhile. The 1st time I tried it I put some regular lotion and some body oil on my feet and after that soaked in I put a a little on the bottom of my feet and then put cotton soak on then went to bed. When I got up my feet felt so soft! Im on my feet all day at work so my feet will never feel super soft but they def feel a lot softer. I can't wait to see how soft my feet get after using it for a long time. And as for my boyfriends lips...omg!!! They did a complete 180!! His lips always looked so dry and gross...... So I told him to bush his lips when he brushed his teeth before bed and I put a very small amount on his lips and the skin around. After 1 night his lips looked and felt so much softer. Now we both do that every night and our lips have never been softer. And there's no more cracking on our lips. I don't use it anywhere else on my body but I'm sure wherever you need extreme moisture (like your knees elbows, hands, etc....) this is def the product you need to get . Oh... Yes it kinda of has a smell to it but I noticed I don't really smell it when you use a small amount on my lips and I never noticed my feet smelling like it once it's soaks in. So don't listen to the reviews of people saying it smells so bad they can't use it..... It's definitely not that bad.

The texture is rich and thick, which is exactly what I was looking for to treat very dry areas like my hands, elbows, heels, and cuticles. A small amount goes a long way, so even though the jar contains 7 ounces, it lasts much longer than I expected. What I like most is how well it locks in moisture. I usually apply a thin layer before bed, and by the next morning, the dry, rough patches feel noticeably softer and smoother. It creates a protective barrier without feeling overly greasy once it has a chance to absorb. It's especially helpful during colder months when my skin tends to become much drier than usual. The quality of the lanolin is excellent. It doesn't have an overpowering scent, and the formula feels pure without unnecessary additives. I've also used it on dry cuticles and other rough spots, and it has consistently helped restore moisture. The wide-mouth jar makes it easy to scoop out just the amount I need. The only minor downside is that, because it's a pure lanolin product, it has a naturally thick consistency.

I have purchased this multiple times over the last few years. I have always always been a lip gloss junkie....until. I don't know what happened, but a few years ago everything I had used since being in my teens (I am 63) started irritating my lips and causing them to actually dry out. On the hunt I went for something that would not irritate my lips. I have spent so much money. All the natural "bee" stuff, anything I could find with less chemicals because I had no idea why all of a sudden my lips were reacting this way. Hundreds of dollars later, dozens of google searches, and voila...this product came to my attention. Thank God, and I mean that literally!. I was miserable. I was used to slathering my lips multiple times a day. I needed some relief. Contrary to some of the reviews I have read, this stuff has a very very mild fragrance. I have a sensitive sniffer and it does not bother me. In fact I don't smell it anymore. Lanolin has been a lifesaver for my lips. I use it several times a day. Like I said, a lip gloss junkie. I am left with soft lips that are slightly glossy and no longer irritated. So very happy. I put it in a small container and carry it with me everywhere

My daughter was having an extremely bad diaper rash due to a sensitivity in my diet from breastfeeding as we were resolving that we had to wait for the acidity in her poop to go down and something that would allow her bottom to heal from blistering. We needed a good barrier that was natural and healing. This worked better than desitin and Vaseline. We got desitin because we were desperate for something that would help her bottom heel however after reading the ingredients knowing it would be bad ..We were rather mortified that we were putting petroleum products and talc on our baby and they have added fragrance. But we needed a barrier and something that had zinc in it. Zinc is great for healing and there are other products that we can use that have the zinc in it but for barrier that was natural we chose this.. We would use something was thinking it and alternate it with this if needed. And I did not want to use petroleum, or talk or fragrance or some other added ingredients. So we needed something that acted just like Vaseline without being a petroleum byproduct. I was using my nipple cream for a barrier But even that wasn't thick enough for my liking the purple tube is mixed with something so that it is much more appliable to store nipples but is not super thick for diaper cream. This tub was very thick and worked great I used it after we would dry her off with every diaper change until her diaper rash cleared up. It does not have a strong lanilon smell although I love the smell of lanolin. So long story short this product is great It is thick a little bit goes a long way it'll stay on her bottom until it has wiped off between diaper changes. Helps her a lot at night If we're not catching her diaper change right away. This creates a great barrier creates great moisture is lasting for longer than any other product that I've gotten for diaper rash on the shelf. We use this at night with a disposable diaper now for routine care for her bottom. Just remember that this is not cloth diaper safe this will waterproof any cloth that it is applied to. So it is great as a diaper cream and great if you're using it with a disposable diaper but this is not something that you use for cloth diapering mamas unless you are trying to waterproof something it will ruin the absorbency. This also works as a nipple cream You just need to allow it to get warm between your fingers before applying It is safe for ingestion for infants. It's also great as a lip balm and other chapped areas..

Works amazingly well, doesn’t rub off and truly does what it’s suppose to do. Amazing moisturizing power BUT I can’t get past the “barnyard” smell of natural lanolin. I use it mainly for lips but the smell lingers for an easy hour before it fades a little. Good for the rest of the body but not on the face for me.

I bought this lanolin to use in my homemade lip balm, and I’ve been very happy with it\. It has a smooth texture and blends nicely into my lip balm recipe without leaving it feeling overly greasy or heavy\. It was also the best value I found when comparing similar products\. A great option for anyone who makes their own lip care products\.

The smell is a little chemical-ly but it works perfectly and i don’t really expect raw organic lanolin to smell great anyway

While lanolin as a general product is wonderful and some natural variation is to be expected, the quality from this particular brand is hit or miss. I bought three jars of this over the course of a year and a half. The first jar was excellent, it had a mild, neutral smell, pale color, and thick waxy texture. The second jar was dark bordering on brown and smelled like a barnyard to the point that my family made bleating noises at me and I was embarrassed to use it except at night and even then I still hated the smell myself. I ended up covering that one with a cloth to let it air out but it always stank and I was glad when it was used up and gone. The third jar smelled merely unpleasant, not good though not nearly as bad as the second; however it had a weird creamy texture that I've never seen in lanolin and made me wonder if it had been treated somehow. I get it, lanolin always has a certain smell, but it really should not smell so bad that it gives you a headache and provokes jokes about how you smell like a farm animal. Other brands exist that don't stink so bad. This brand didn't always smell so bad. Ultimately I don't want to keep buying something that might be great or might be disappointing.

I bought this pre lanolin specifically to help condition my feet in lead up to a multi day trek. Pure lanolin is obviously quite thick, so I wasn’t expecting a light moisturiser. I’ve been applying a small amount particularly around areas I am prone to blisters to protect them during the trek. This method protects my feet from friction and drying out. The tub is generous size and has lasted the duration of my trek.

ITS THICK LIKE VASELINE , BUT MUCH BETTER IN RESULTS, GOOD FOR DRY AND HARSH SKIN .. I LIKE IT ALOT
