Rain - Just Natural, Relaxing Rain Sounds

I've looked for CDs of rain sounds on Amazon, and when available, I've listened to the sample excerpts. The sample of this recording is a very accurate representation of what the entire recording sounds like.This is an authentic (or very authentic-sounding) 74-recording of medium-to-heavy rainfall. The sound quality is clearer than other rain recordings I've heard. Also, it is one of the few rain recordings I've been able to find to have ONLY rain. There is no music, no thunder, no birds, no wind; just consistent, steady rain. (If you WANT rain with music accompanying it, you have a lot of choices available. Just search on Amazon!)Of course, real rainfall tends to vary in its intensity over a 74-minute period, but the rain on this recording is consistent all the way through. This could mean the technician who recorded it managed to capture a rainfall on a day where it fell with a consistent intensity for the duration; or it could mean the recording loops at some point. It doesn't matter to me either way, as the end result is seamless. I think a "looped" recording of rain or any other soothing sound is fine as long as the looped portion is long enough to not be noticeable.If plan to use this CD to fall asleep to (as I have), you can get it to play all night. All you need is a CD player with a "repeat" button. As soon as the CD starts playing, press the "repeat" button and the CD will play over and over until it's manually turned off./\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\UPDATE: The recording is excellent, but due to the CD-R format it doesn't play smoothly in some machines. I have a fairly high-end RCA multi-CD player, and when I try to get this disc to play, the machine repeatedly makes a motorized sound, indicating it's struggling to make the disc play. When it finally starts to play, it usually stops before it gets to the end.The problem is NOT with my player, as it plays numerous other audio CDs smoothly and without the "struggling" sounds to get started. The CD is NOT scratched, as I purchased it new and always handled it carefully and kept it stored in its case when not being played. The problem is the CD-R format. A disc made in this format can play easily in some machines, yet have glitches with playing in others. Considering the high price of this disc, there should be better reliability.If this CD were manufactured in standard CD format rather than CD-R, it would rate a definite 5-stars. IF you happen to own a CD player that consistently plays CD-R format discs without any glitches, this disc should be very effective in helping you to relax or sleep, and I would recommend buying it.

I listened to quite a few rain sounds before I selected this one. I use it to go to sleep. So I wanted rain sounds that were just rain without thunder or birds. I purchased it and ask Alexa to play it for me every night. I love it.

As the song says, "It never rains in Southern California". Also, we have triple pane windows, so I couldn't hear anything even if it rained like crazy in Anaheim (which it hardly ever does these days). We live within walking distance of Disneyland, and I can't even hear the nightly fireworks (thank God).This song is part of Amazon's AutoRip program, which allows me to stream audio from selected CD's on my television, lap top, PC, kindle, any a host of other internet connected electronics.When I'm stressed or can't sleep, I open Amazon's Cloud Player, select this album and stream it continually for as long as I want. It's playing in the background as I type this.

Pretty nice white noise to help me get to sleep. I don't really like the water dripping into a puddle sound though but I am able to concentrate on the rainfall sound pretty well.

Helps mitigate my insomnia. Looping this mp3 on my stereo, adding a couple of soft blue night lights and melatonin gummies pretty much ensures a good night of sleep....thanks Amazon!

I was listening to this for free on Prime for the longest time but decided to buy it anyway because... I was listening to it on Prime for free for the longest time.The rain puts me to sleep fast and there's no looping in the track that I can detect. Definitely worth your money.

It relaxes me immediately and I fall asleep more quickly than without it. It goes for 73 minutes. On nights when I'm really wired, I wish it were longer. Over all, though, its great.

It's not bad just a little too repetitive in sounds rain tends to change in frequency and fall. Sleep machines still has the best CD for rain fall.
