Great little fan
I use this small, lightweight fan to force air into the DDM cold air intake box on my MINI R50. I chose this fan because itโs from an actual motorsport company and itโs intended for motorsport use (i.e., as opposed to a bilge pump). I live in Phoenix and it gets really hot and it occurred to me that I could use a 3โ silicone hose and run this fan inline from the fresh air intake behind the grille, along the top of the radiator and into to the cold air intake box. I used an auxilliary driving light harness to wire it up and can activate it with a switch under my dash. When the fanโs not on, it still allows plenty of air to flow through. I havenโt tested it on a dyno and donโt think it really adds any power (but it may, because forces a lot of air into the intake box and this creates positive pressure), but it does prevent horsepower loss from excessive heat under the hood. The only downside is that from the outside it sounds a bit like a hairdryer under your hood, but the AC fan on MINIs are so loud that this is barely noticeable, and you canโt hear it from inside the car.

Worked great on my UTV
I bought this fan after I purchased a cheaper version that warped so bad the fan wouldnโt spin. This fan had a longer wires and covered in a jacket. It cools the engine in my Honda Pioneer very quickly. It is a little loud but it works!

Warning
Do not install anywhere difficult to access. I installed it inline on a snorkel to get enough air into the box. Imitating a ram air effect. Pre filter luckily or a lot of damage could have been done. Being at double the price tag for essentially identical marine grade products. With a slightly higher fpm, I assumed the higher price represented higher quality and not just a couple diode wired onto a common motor. The casing looks to be 3d printed and warped just enough to hit the blades. Eventually breaking the blades off. Im not sure if the motor axel wobble originally caused the blades to rub the casing causing it the overheat and deform, but it looks like it was just moments from going up in flames. Reason I assume that is because I had 1 inch foam cushing around the case inside a fiberglass tube to secure from moving out of place and help with vibrational noise. I could not find any information on how to contact the makers with my issue. Hopefully there can be a resolve to the problem that I have. Seeing the product has potential and maybe I just had a fault in the motor I received. Being it was only a few months that it was installed an not used heavily. I would say less than two hours of running time. Hopefully they respond to this review. If they do I will update the review. I know that thereโs always errors that can happen with any and every type of production and shouldnโt represent the overall quality of a product. If you see this that means nothing has been done and I could not recommend this product over any of the blowers built for marine use and are identical to this product at half the price, warranties and last years in the toughest environments on earth.

Blows allot of air!
Oddly, I used this for something else. My F150 is heavily modified. The air intake box has 2 air intake tubes, I used this Chillout fan to help produce more air into the airbox and works really well. Over the loud V8 sound, you can still hear this fan running under the hood. Truck sounds like an airplane now, but oh well. I recommend this product.

Great fan.
Great little fan. Moves a ton of air. Utilizing it to blow air over some in line steering fluid coolers. It is pretty loud but that's to be expected with something this small moving this much air.
