Folding Garden Harvesting Knife

Another great fiskars tool. I got the small knife for my wife a couple years ago and this larger harvesting knife is a great addition for larger items. The sheath is nice and sturdy and so is the knife. Very sharp and the blade shape allows for cuts in strange angles. Love that fiskars stands behind their products and designs unique and useful tools and sells that at a fair price. Keep it up fiskars!

This is the best hori-hori type tool I have owned. The split tongue point is surprisingly useful. The plastic sheath holds the tool securely but it is easy to remove Light weight and easily maneuvered.

This tool is a very well made high quality gardening tool. I got this as a gift for my father who wanted a tool that would be sturdier to get roots and small saplings out of the ground and he absolutely raves about this tool. He has stated that this tool is sharp enough that it can split hairs. i would absolutely but this again

I'd love to leave a positive review for this tool - it was great for pulling crabgrass and general utility purposes. However, 31 days after purchase (right outside the Amazon return period), the blade snapped while I was trying to pull a pokeweed root from my garden bed. I submitted a claim via the Fiskars warranty page, waited the 7-week waiting period, and heard nothing back. I expected the tool to be more durable and, failing that, for the brand to stand by its warranty. It did not live up to my expectations. UPDATE: it took 3 months, but Fiskars responded to the warranty claim and replaced the knife. Revising the score to a 4 - it may not be the heaviest-duty tool, but it was very handy and in the end Fiskars was able to replace the one that broke.

It's all the features I wanted in a hori hori, plus an extra one I didn't know I wanted; the forked tip is handy for prying sturdy roots loose, and is durable enough that I'm not concerned it will weaken the tip. I was looking at similarly priced traditional ones, but they all had reviews stating that the blade would break in half at the handle when used for digging. Sturdy traditional hori hori can cost over $100, so I decided I'd give this Fiskars version a try since I've always been happy with their other lawncare tools and utility scissors. The stainless steel blade is permanently moulded into the plastic handle, and by using a magnet it seems that the tang extends just past 3/4 of the way down (stops at the orange part). The included sheath holds the tool securely and the clip is wide enough to grab onto large utility belts. It's quite stiff, so you'll need to wear it on a spot that's out of the way of your legs when walking. There are drainage holes at the bottom, so it's quite easy to hose clean (though I ways wipe the blade clean on my pant leg before sheathing). I've never had any Fiskars plastic become brittle or crack, even when carelessly left outside for years, so I expect this sheath will be no different. I've so far used it for digging planting holes, aerating the soil around a root base, digging up weeds, cutting dried up flower stalks, and removing sod that had encroached into a planter bed. It performed to my expectations in all tasks. I'm very happy with the build quality and don't anticipate it will sustain damage anytime soon, but if it ever does Fiskars has a very generous warranty. It's a bit goofy looking, and not everyone likes the orange/black Fiskars colors (though I appreciate the high contrast / visibility when I absent-mindedly set it down on the green or brown ground) but this is most likely the best value hori hori you can buy.

This Hori Hori knife is awesome, just keep your gloved hand away from it or it cuts right through it. It has come in so handy around the garden. I highly recommend it.

Pela Fiskars, estava esperando algo bem mais robusto. Tem construção bem leve, achei pequeno. Não imaginava que o próprio corpo seria plástico, ao invés do mais comum de uma armação metálica revestida em plástico. Não tem clip nem nada para amarrar, então necessário redobrar o cuidado. Ajustei minha expectativa para não esperar demais da capacidade desta faca. A Tramontina de poda que tenho, super antiga, dá banho nesta.

Literally my favourite garden tool. I have bought it for all the gardeners in my life. So many uses. Highly recommend
