I keep 10' in my pocket
I've tied someone's front bumper on after a crash so they didn't have to get towed. I've tied up branches in my hedge. I strapped towels to an extension ladder so I wouldn't scratch my expensive quonset hut. I tied up a few 4k-test ratchet tie downs so they'd be tidy in the back of my truck. I strung a row of floating lights in my mothers pool twice with the same strand six months apart. I secured a tarp over a missing section of roof. I tied one end to a bull pin to pry from 4ft away while I installed bolts in the aforementioned quonset hut. Gosh.. I can't remember all the places I've used this stuff. However, these are just a handful of the reasons that I keep ten feet of it in my pocket at all times. I've only gone through a third of the roll and I wouldn't want to be without it on the road, on the job, or even around the house. It is better than twine, but just as compact. It is more compact than paracord and nearly as strong for my purposes. The slight stiffness makes it easy to thread through small spaces and it doesn't fray. It is waterproof and abrasion resistant. The size 36 I bought leaves me with copious amounts to use in everyday tasks and projects. This is my first review that was more of a list than an outright narrative, but I thought this was more to the point. This is a solid 5-star item.

Good stuff!
Good stuff, economical enough to be one time use to save your paracord, light enough you can carry the entire roll in your bag without any noticable weight issues. Waterproof, holds knots well, cut off what you need for the task. I store it in a ziplock sandwich bag to prevent the wax/oil coating from running in hot weather. This is worth your money.

High-Quality ... But Give It a Few Days to Air Out
I waited a while to post this review as when I first took the plastic wrap off the roll, the Catahoula twine was both stinky and sticky. That, however, dissipated in a few days. While you MIGHT get SOME minor tar marks on your hands if you are working it really hard, I've found that once the roll aired out, it was a pleasure to use with no stickyness at all and very little odor. It's tough, tough, stuff. Holds a knot to the point of being ridiculous, and is inexpensive for the quality. I like the flexibilty of tarred TWIST for outdoor activities, as you can separate the strands, if needed. If you don't have that need, you might consider a braided tarred twine. In practice, I don't find that the twist unravels without some persuasion anyway, though. Some bushcraft and survival writers recommend tarred twine for fire starting. That's fine if you're NOT using tarred NYLON! Nylon, of course, is a plastic and burns like one - dirty, sputtering, and fume-laden. There are tarred twines on the market made of other materials. Most will not have nylon's strength. Catahoula is an excellent, mainline brand used in the netting industry, both land and sea. Great stuff.

Tarred bankline
The original and best. Easy to carry 50' in your pack, and has unlimited uses. The perfect "extra" cordage. Strong enough for most backpacking uses like an extra tarp or tent tie-out, pack strap repair, shoe lace, stuff sack drawstring, or lashing cordage for woodcraft projects like small lean-to or tripod frames.

Strong and easy to use
A whole lot better than non-tarred nylon twine. Grips a knot well, due to the tack, but is not sticky to the fingers. Tack keeps the twine on the spool, instead of unwinding easily. Very low visibility when strung up high against sky backdrop, as compared to usual white nylon twine, almost disappears. Have to concentrate hard to see it. A bit pricey, but, works well, and it's American made. Doubt I'll ever need more than the quarter pound I bought, as it can be reused, and will not deteriorate in the elements like polyester type cord.

Catahoula Tarred Twine
Great Tarred twine for outside stuff. For the confused it is a string coated with tar. The tar prevents degradation from sunlight and weather. The tar will stain some items use your head.

very strong
This has augmented my paracord. Bankline is much less expensive, considerably more cord, and almost as strong as 550 paracord. For lashing things together Bankline is superior to paracord. Also, the cost of paracord many folks do not want to cut it, Bankline to the rescue. Bankline hold knots much better than paracord, whereas paracord knots can work loose. Yes, I do use paracord, however for most of my activities Bankline to the rescue.
