Amazon Basics Mono Gaming Chat Headset Officially Licensed for PlayStation 4

Xbox One use review. I have purchased 3 of these headsets. Two for me and one for a friend. They have only been used on Xbox one series consoles and so far after over a month of use they are working well. I can hear others clearly and my party members can hear me clearly. Occasionally an echo will develop that others hear of their own voice. Through troubleshooting we have found if I reseat the 3.5mm plug or twist it a bit to ensure a good connection that has cleared the issue. Overall, I like the headset. It provides very little clamping pressure and the foam ear pad is thinker the. The Microsoft one and I don’t develop any hot spots. This will be my go to chat headset unless some one else can come out with a better single ear chat headset that exceeds this one. Been used on an Xbox One X, OG Xbox One and a stock controller and a series one Xbox Elite controller.

I purchased 2 of this since they were on a lightning deal and I thought that they wouldn't last, boy was I wrong.. I have a 9 year old and a 5 year old, they have to share a PlayStation and of course they fight over the controller.. 5 year old is kinda rough and pulls the controller and headset from the brother, this headset is still going strong without issues... Volume and mute work great... Must say that is not loud, does not provide any boost to audio nor does it cancel noise, it's a simple headset. On the ear what you have is the sponge material just like walkmans from the old days, same as on the microphone... If you are on a budget, this is for you... Well done Amazon.

This product is very average. It’s not terrible, not too bad for the price, but when I use it I can’t hear other players all that clearly. Sometimes I have no issues and other times no matter how high I have the volume up it seems like it never gets any louder. It’s okay for me since I mostly play single player games, but if you’re a big online multiplayer type gamer you’ll want to go ahead and buy a better headset.

The volume on the headphones is pretty good but could be louder. Remember, these are not sound isolating, so you would benefit from a higher volume. After using these for a while, adjusted well, they are comfortable, lightweight, and pretty good. I wish it had a longer cable. Relatively cheap, good sound into the single earpiece (which is what I was hoping for) -- telescopic band adjusts to head size pretty readily and easily, and the microphone arm is great on its "adjustable snake" post -- for anyone who has had an experience where they think it's "too tight", I just attached it to the box it came in overnight, which seemed to open up the diameter a little bit, haven't had any "piercing" or pushing on ear issues.

Felt flimsy but didn't care about it for the 5 bucks. Worked the first two evening I player Red Dead Online, then on third day plugging it into the controller it would not switch the mic over as if it was dead. Tried it in the other control and no dice. Went back to the cheap earpiece Sony gives you that has worked with no issue for years.

I am very surprised by the quality of this headset. I understand it's part of the AmazonBasic line, but there's basic, and then there's BASIC. This falls into the later category. Issue 1. This headset is not adjustable.. The band that extends from the ear piece, over the head, is fixed. It is not adjustable at all. I could not find a way for it to sit comfortably on my head without it feeling like it was constantly falling off or pulling out of place. Issue 2. The Foam On The Ear Cuff ... These are ON THE EAR style. The ear piece sits on your ear, not over or around it. And the foam on the ear piece is cheap and it slides around. Given that the over the head band isn't adjustable, having a slippery foam on the ear piece means the headset never feels comfortable and is always in danger of sliding off during use. Given the two issues listed above, I would caution against getting these ... or at least plan to return them if the fixed headset isn't comfortable (which is a roll of the dice, since it's not adjustable). The sounds was only passable, but deserves two stars for the price.

I bought these for my daughter to use with her laptop. They plugged right in no problem and they work just fine both the mic and the earpiece. She wanted one just on one ear so she could still hear what was going on around her and these fit the bill perfectly. I can't say as to their longevity yet, but in my experience these types of headphones don't last more than a few months so if it lasts longer than that I would be surprised.

Simply go for it. Very useful for being on calls through out the day.

It's a cheap plastic toy headphone, not even worth 100/- amazon is selling for 680 rupees with no noise cancellation with PS4 tag, I ordered return but no one bother to collect it even after a week's time

Am giving this review after 6 month of usage. I will recommend this to buy. Worth for money. I am using this only for office meetings. For that purpose only I bought this. It is working fine. 👌

good quality awesome performance.

I needed a head set for working from home on the company laptop to answer and make phone calls. Really love these and so affordable. Comfortable to wear, the sound is so clear. I've been using them for 2 months now and they still work great. Highly recommend.
