Obviously you'd use certified weight rated shackles for lifting and heavy loads. These I use with snatch blocks and 3/8's cable or synthetic rope for vehicle recovery or logging. Not going near the limits in those applications so these work great and are cost effective.

Excellent shackles. Make sure you get the right diameter pin. Pin is not the same size as the shackle designation.

I needed to find a large D ring to lift my mobility scooter into the back of my truck. This ring can easily hold the weight of the scooter and it works perfectly with the large straps that I wrap around the scooter.

I wouldn't use them to support anything heavy over my head but for vehicle pulling or other medium duty stuff there ok

I have ordered 21 of these, 6 have arrived with overbored threaded holes. I'll take a video soon to show what I mean. While these work assuming you don't receive a defective one, the average person should buy something else like a Nilight brand for a bit more. Wouldn't have left a 1 star, but amazon wouldn't let me contact the seller directly.

Cheaper in sets of three. Great color (easy to spot in the wild... and in the shop). Nothing fancy as advertised. Quality is robust and performs as expected with a load.
