Winco Cutting Board, 12 by 18 by 1-Inch, White

This cutting board fits my countertop perfectly. It's big! Nice for working on cutting things up, you have room to work with. My knife did leave scratches on the board, as expected. It didn't dull my knife. The only thing that could be a negative is it's bulky when cleaning, not the fault of the board. I really like it when cutting large pieces of meat. One side has lettering by the handle while the other side doesn't. If you wanted to use one side for meat, and the other for veggies, it's easy to do. It fits good in a 13 gallon garbage bag for storage.

Very good value. It’s a half inch thick which is good enough to be solid but not so thick it’s too heavy. I use it on top of my gas range so it’s a useful surface. Also good to use on the counter next to the stove! Just ordered a second for the other side. Nothing fancy. Very similar to those used in restaurants and it fits in the dishwasher to boot! Oh and just in case - it isn’t heat resistant. It’s just plastic but if you aren’t using half your range it works to hold spatulas bowls etc instead of the usual gas range open grates

Ditch your bamboo cutting boards and buy this (seriously, those are horrible for knives). As someone that's professionally cooked in kitchens for years, this is as commercial as it gets. I originally bought a very large one for big tasks (like carving meat and thus forth), and loved it so much that I bought two more medium ones that could fit in the dishwasher and be sanitized quickly. They are a perfect size for my counter tops, and fit vertically in the dishwasher. These are so easy to clean/wipe down, and there are no warping issues after sanitizing cycles. I'd much rather buy these over the cheap ones (I've had many over the years, and I wish I just bought these first). The cutting boards are one of those BIFL things. I haven't had any issues with staining and these have stayed white over time, but even if that happens it's to be expected with cutting boards (even in commercial kitchens) so don't toss yours. These keep my Messermeister, Victorinox, and Takayuki knives in pristine condition as they effortlessly glide and cut like a dream on top of these. These have a sturdy, heavy weight to them, even the 0.5" thick ones. I don't find them particularly slippery, especially not my large 3/4" thick one. I think anyone would be happy with whichever size they choose to fit their needs.

I have just gotten into buying and breaking down sub primal cuts of meat. I needed a large cutting board to keep the meat off the counter. This does the job. POSITIVES: COST - This board is less expensive than all other choices, wood or other material DURABILITY: Being plastic and THICK (3/4") it won't warp. CLEANING - Plastic cleans easily and you can use solutions inappropriate for wood. You can place it in a dishwasher if you can find one large enough! NEGATIVES: SLIPPY/SLIDEY - This board will slide around on the counter, even though it is heavy. There are no rubber grippers on the bottom to hold it in place. BUT, it is simple to put something grippy under it. MICRO PLASTICS - The newest BIG worry. As I won't be using this board for anything other than breaking down sub primals, I'm not too worried about that. PLASTIC ISN'T THE EASIEST ON KNIFE EDGES - True, wood is the best. But for the same reason I mentioned above, I'm not concerned. CLEANING - The biggest issue for me. I will either have to take this monster board down to the laundry room or wash it in the bathtub!!!! All in all, I am very happy with my choice.

This cutting board is exactly what I needed, and I'm mostly very pleased with it. My only complaint is it came with a manufacturing flaw. On both edges of one side there is some waxy, "plasticy" substance, like maybe an "overspray" of constuction material that was missed in a smoothing out process (? I don't know-am only guessing at a possible cause) I've tried pulling it off with my fingers and with a pair of pliers, and tried slicing it off with a knife, but it's very stubbornly stuck to the body of the board. It's about 1" wide at the widest point, and about 7' long at the longest point. It's not the same size, length or depth on both sides. Since I haven't read of this in other reviews of this board it's probably not a widespread problem, and I was just the unlucky customer who got the one flawed board out of several thousand! This is not a huge problem, only a nuisance, and it wasn't worth the effort of returning. It makes it a bit tricky to slide food off the board smoothly, so it's necessary to take extra care with the cleaning. Other than this, I am happy with this cutting board. It's a great buy for the money. I had looked and looked for one this size, without handles, or grips on one side. I wanted a completely smooth board that I can slide food off of easily, that won't damage my knives, and was a large size. I like being able to work on meat or poultry on one side and simply flip the board over to work on vegs. It's a great fit on one side of my double sink so I can slide food off the end into a pot. So even tho mine has a flaw, it is well worth the money. I like it well enough to only knock down my review one star.

Nice sized cutting surface...But, I use mine as a snow-board for measuring snowfall. Also, one became the roof of a weather shelter that had previously use a wooden top that warped and rotted away. Works good for multiple purposes. Nice strong board.

Holing up nicely under light home use

Was looking for a big board to work on and keep my knives from getting dull. This board feels good when working on it. I love the thickness, it just feels good. However, you'll need BIG sink to clean it - so measure before you buy. It'll be nightmare to clean if your sink is not big enough to fit all of it in. Bare in mind - it's BIG. And slightly heavy (an advantage and disadvantage...)
