Small but mighty
It's small but works like a big tester can carry it in you pocket

Easy to read, easy to use
This seems to work very well. It gives me an immediate reading of the battery charge & the alternator's output. I like the versatility of having alligator clips AND the 12v DC cigarette lighter plug adapter. I may buy a 2nd so I can keep one in the Class B RV Van?

It's really nothing more than a glorified voltage tester, to be honest
When I bought this device I was expecting it would have some kind of diagnostic capability to assess the battery and the alternator. It doesn't. There are 3 positions: 24v, alternator, and 12v. But these positions don't do anything more than simply shift the scale on LED readings. In fact, the alternator position isn't really useful... because you get the same reading for the battery when the engine is running--it's showing the charge received from the alternator. The panel shows a series of LED's to let you know the "analysis" of the battery health. But there is no complex diagnosis happening. Based on the voltage detected, a corresponding LED will light up for the predetermined range of what is established for Full, Medium, Low, and Empty. You could simply refer to a static chart for battery voltages: 12.7 = 100% 12.5 = 90% --------------- ^ Excellent 12.4 = 80% 12.3 = 70% 12.2 = 60% --------------- ^ Good 12.05 = 50% 11.9 = 40% --------------- ^ Low to Fair 11.8 = 30% 11.6 = 20% --------------- ^ VERY low (may not start) 11.4 = 15% 11.3 = 10% --------------- ^ DANGEROUSLY low (likely won't start) DEAD If you don't have a multimeter, this device is handy. The best testing is ALWAYS directly from the battery terminals. If you do it from the cigarette lighter, you will get a lower reading because of the circuitry (potentially off by as much as 0.5v). PLUS: You are given 2 connectors to test the battery. The clips are the best way. However, one nice touch is the coupler used. This is compatible with some adapters that are used with car chargers such as ADPOW. I use an ADPOW charger for my battery periodically (since I don't drive a lot) and installed the adapter for a quick, easy, and safe way to connect the charger. This AUTDER tester uses the same plug, so I don't need to mess with the clips. My multimeter is a Fluke 73. It's extremely accurate. This tester runs a little low in comparison, by 0.05 to 0.1v. I don't know if the maker does any kind of calibration... so maybe other units could show different deviations. I would, as a measure for peace of mind, compare your tester to a professional multimeter to be sure it's within an acceptable range. I'm not happy my AUTDER tester doesn't match 100%, but it's close enough and at least underreporting. CONS: For the price, I guess it's not a bad deal but the word "analyzer" is rather misleading. This is a tester. It doesn't do any notable diagnosis that you couldn't determine yourself by looking at a voltage chart. The clips for attaching to a battery terminal are rather cheap, thin, easily bent, and the insulator sleeves are not well secured. The directions do not warn of lower than actual voltage readings from the cigarette lighter. Also my example showed a slightly lower than actual reading compared to a multimeter. There is no included storage case. PROS: For those people completely ignorant about what voltage levels equate to full, medium, low, and dead, this device is helpful. It's good that there's 2 ways to test this--battery terminals or cigarette lighter (but beware the latter will show as lower than actual). It's also great that a standard connector is used instead of proprietary, so if you've got a wired adapter already connected to your battery you can use this tester directly. The LEDs are reasonably bright. Also, the unit is not very heavy.

Super easy to use
This is the easiest tester I have used and the fact that you can use it on the battery or from the inside of the car makes it easy and convenient.

Great tool
This is a must have. I'm not a mechanic but this device diagnosed my problem and prevented me from taking the car to my mechanic. I was able to determine that my battery was low but alternator was fine. The car wouldn't start, so I boosted it with the Nusicam car booster which I also got from Amazon, that's a must have also. After I let the car run a few minutes, the battery charge increased. I'll have to start the car more often since I do not drive everyday like I used to.

Great battery and alternator Tester
The AUTDER tester is easy to use. Color indicators and digital voltage screen. It's compact and can be connected to the cigarette outlet or connected directly to the battery with provided cables with clamps. The cables are short so you may need to use 'extension' cables if you don't have the cigarette outlet. And best of all very, very affordable considering how well this tester works. I bought two because of features and price and glad I did - keeping one it each vehicle I own.

Good price and accurate
Needed this to test the battery on my sienna. This lately this has become a regular project for me. Works better than the auto store tester. Friend took his van in and their meter showed a good battery, but when he called me for a jump later that day, this meter showed 20% health left. It's worth it to me to have an accurate tester and not get stranded because of the store's free guess-o-meter. Good price with the starter and charging testing on this unit.

Don't even bother!!!!!
My less than 6 months old battery started dying after not using my truck for less than 3 days at a time...I kept charging it and same thing would happen again!! I bought this device and according to all the readings( I tried both the battery hook up and the cigarette lighter option as well) was saying the battery was charged and also the alternator is just fine. Well, after charging it again 4 days ago and driving the truck for over 20 plus miles, battery was pain DEAD this morning!! Summary-this device is a POS!! do not buy, go with a more expensive option, that can actually tell you the real issue, not just bullcrap.
